Review of New Nails Inc. London Magnetic Nail Polish

I actually found out about magnetic nail polish from my 8 year old niece, when she went on to describe how cool her new magnetic nail polish was, I wondered exactly what she was talking about, and figured it was something she made up considering the fact that her nails were not polished.

What I thought was just a make believe story was actually the truth, I knew that when I discovered a collection of magnetic nail polish in my local super-center hogging up an end isle display rack.

The magnetic nail polish was made by Nails Inc. London, and they had a very small selection of colors to choose from. In fact I was not fond of any of the colors, but went with the one that seemed would work best for me. I cannot lie, this was totally a mindless purchase, but it seemed cool and trendy.

How It Works:

The nail polish has a built in magnet at the top of the bottle. After painting your nail, you must immediately bring your fingernail to the magnet, leave it there for just a few seconds, and wallah, a wave like design giving off a neat 3D like effect.

Does It Work?

Yes. Nails Inc. London's Magnetic Nail Polish worked for me, however there are a few issues I want to go over with anyone reading, so that way they have a heads up on what not to do.

The first note of flaw is the lack of instructions on how long to leave the magnet by your fingernail.
I found that the longer I left my fingernail near the magnet, the less dazzling the wave effect would turn out. It's done nearly immediately. Basically just place your finger near the magnet, for around 2 or 3 seconds, and then move it away. The effect is more vibrant and sharp.

The second note of flaw is that you cannot at all move the finger around once you place it by the magnet.

At first I was moving my finger all around, but this just ruins the entire effect. You must place your nail near the magnet and not move it around, otherwise you will mess up the entire effect.

The last thing about Nails Inc. Magnetic Nail Polish that I was not to keen on, was the last. It was literally 2 days later when the polish began to peel, fade and chip. I spent $8 on this polish and expected a heck of a lot longer last.

Overall:

It's a fun gimmick. It does work, but with flaw. Sadly due to the polish not lasting as long as I would expect it to, I would not buy it again.
