I normally do not go out of my way to by a perfume inspired body lotion, or cream, but every now and again someone will give me one for a birthday, or holiday and I am grateful for the freebie.
This was basically how I got hold of Juicy Couture Love G & P Body Sorbet.
The bottle when handed off to me looked sort of generic and cheap, a plain plastic bottle with a sticker slapped to it, in hopes to give off a retro glamorous vibe. For me though it just looked cheap.
Looking closer, I was able to see that this bottle of lotion was not cheap, in fact it was made by Juicy Couture, and instead of being called a lotion or body ream, they slapped on a fancier title, 'Sorbet'.
Scent:
I tested the 'sorbet' right then and there to see what it gave off as far as fragrance goes, and to see what sort of benefits it would offer my skin.
The scent impressed me immediately, and I was pretty shocked that my gal pal did not want to keep it. It turned out she had another full sized bottle of it, and was so in love with it, that she went out and bought it specifically for me and couldn't wait another month to give it to me for my birthday. I was glad for the early gift, because this 'sorbet' smelled absolutely divine.
Juicy Couture Love G & P Body Sorbet gives off a gorgeous potent gardenia florals that seriously wrap itself around you, as if you are standing in a garden of fresh gardenia. Once that note begins to set in, I was then able to smell more notes hitting me one after another and each wave of new fragrance was as delicious as the last.
After gardenia settles, I was picking up notes of dewy rose, creamy vanilla, citrus, and woody notes which settles in last.
It's an odd fragrance when you think about it, because it is hard to pin point what your base, or overall scent actually is, with notes of florals, fruits, and woods all mixing in as one. It;s quite unique to say the least.
As the scent begins to fade though there is one final note I was smelling above an beyond all others, and that was the dewy rose fragrance that was both sweet, and musky.
Last:
The scent is sort of short lived though, and overall I got an hour of scent before notes were no longer detected. It's so delicious though, and makes the skin feel so good that I carry this bottle around with me,
and touch up my hands and arms throughout the day.
The lotion itself does not moisturize too much, but it does temporarily soften the skin, leaving behind no residue or greasy textures, so this is a plus.
Overall:
Juicy Couture Love G & P Body Sorbet packs a beautiful and unique scent into its bottle. The scent is sort of short lived, and the lotion itself is not the best moisturizer on the market, however it smells so good that it easily became my go to bottle of lotion when I am on the go.

Body Lotion Review: Healing Garden Green Teatheraphy Body Lotion, Soul Soothing

I don’t buy lotions for moisturizing or hydration or any of that other good softening hooey, even though most lotions I buy work well in that department, I buy them simply for the smell.
If it smells good, I buy it. There is no science; it’s as simple as that.
If I happen to stumble upon a lotion that smells good, it comes home with me. End of story!
This is exactly what happened with The Healing Garden Green Teatheraphy Body Lotion Soul Soothing. I have always been fond of green tea scents ever since I bought a perfume by Elizabeth Arden.
This lotion smelled similar, so I chucked it in my wagon and went on my way.
I had the option to go with a smaller 1.85oz tube for $3.99 or it’s big brother the 7oz tube for $5.99. I went with the larger of the two of course. Even though now thinking about it, the smaller one would have been fine.
The lotion is a creamy pale green in color and it is inside of a frosty see through tube. So it is easy to see when you are out of lotion, or when you need to restock.
It has an easy to use pop up cap.
HERE IS WHAT THE SITE SAYS ABOUT IT’S GREEN TEATHERAPY LINE:
There is no path without a destination. With Asian sandalwood, peony petals and everlasting, relax therapy green tea provides the way to a calming retreat for the soul. Come to a radiant place of quiet inspiration.
HOW DOES IT SMELL?:
Well there really is a simple way to put this. It smells like green tea. Now for those of you whom are confused, how can I compare this to a scent you may know?
Ever have a green tea Arizona iced tea, and that first initial smell that escapes the bottle when you pop it open? Well that’s what this lotion smells like.
It smells like a cup of green tea with some a small drip of sweet honey mixed in. I don’t detect any sandalwood in here at all. The smell is not strong; it’s actually soft and light, but easily detected.
HOW IS IT?
I popped open my top and began to squeeeeeeeeze, and nothing came out, so I squeezed some more, and grrrr… wait, what is that!?
Figures, the company forgot to pop a hole in my tube so no lotion can escape! Dang it!
So now, my easy to use pop up cap is now a screw on screw off cap. Great! I don’t know why this little issue bothers me so much, but it does. I liked the convenient easy to use cap, and they took it all away! Hmph!
Anyhow the lotion itself was not too thick or too runny. It was a perfect balance of the two for a nice mess free lotion, and the smell was actually calming. I wouldn’t say it did the whole restore on my soul like the bottle claimed, but it was calming.
GREASY?
I thought the lotion would leave my skin and hands feeling greasy, but it did not. Not even while applying it. It absorbed quickly into my skin and dried very fast. All that was left was nice smooth heavenly scented skin.
I don’t know whether or not it provided a ton of moisturizing, but it did offer some. My legs and skin felt re-hydrated, but not for too long.
When it comes to lotions, like I mentioned earlier, I only buy them for scent, I never rely on nice smelling lotions to give wonderful moisturizing results.
The scent lasted on my skin for the majority of the day. It does provide aromatherapy as it did put me in a calm and relaxing mood.
I would recommend using it all over your body before a long day at work.
WHERE CAN I FIND IT?
Well I bought mine at Walmart, and usually Walmart prices are the best you’re going to find, so that would be my recommended store for purchase.
There are other products in the Green Teatherapy line such as body wash, body mist, candles, and more. Check them out at WWW.healinggarden.com
WHAT’S IN IT?
Water, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Arachidyl Propionate, Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Polysorbate 60, Carbomer, Dimethicone, DMDM Hydantoin, Benzophenone 4, Propylparaben, Polysorbate 20, Myristic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Helichrysum Arenarium Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Flower Extract, Santalum Album Wood Extract (Sandalwood), FD&C Yellow #5, FD&C Green #5
RECOMMENDATION:
Anyone who enjoys products for there scents that last, and not so much for the moisturizing properties.
The smell is lovely and it will leave your skin feeling nice and soft after long-term use.
Review: JLO Glow Body Lotion

I actually obtained a decent sized 6.7oz bottle of JLo Glow body lotion in a recent gift set given to me for my birthday. However I have used this many, many times before. I figured since yesterday’s birthday surprises contained a few JLo items, I might as well do the honor, and follow up with a stinky review. Hehe.
This lotion comes in the usual look of anything by JLo Glow. The signature orange GLOW is written in huge letters at the top of the bottle, followed up with J.Lo underneath it. The bottle itself is a mirror like silver with an easy to use pop up cap.
The smell of this lotion is wonderful, it’s why I keep buying it, and asking for it over and over again. It is a light musk scent, which for me reminds me of Jovan musk mixed with gardenia. However gardenia is not in the ingredients. But hey, that’s what my honker smells, so…
WHAT’S REALLY IN IT?
Orange flower, Grapefruit, Rose, Sandalwood, Soft Amber, jasmine, Vanilla and Musk.
I go all out!!!
When I find a scent I like, I go all out. Like most woman I’m sure. If I like the perfume, I must have the lotion, the shower gel, and anything else that may be available in the scent.
I will usually shower with the gel, apply the lotion, and follow up with a few squirts of perfume. I feel I get the full-blown effect, just the way JLo had intended.
HOW IS IT?
I enjoyed the shower gel that I got in a set in the past, and figured I would enjoy the lotion as well. I did don’t get me wrong. The GLOW scent is the same, and it smells wonderful. However the lotion itself was extremely runny and reminded me of a cheap sun tan lotion in consistency.
I didn’t even have to squeeze the bottle, all I had to do was tip it, and the white lotion began to pour quickly out of the bottle. Things can get quite messy if you’re not crafty.
Once I had a decent amount I began rubbing the lotion into my legs and stomach. It sort of felt a little greasy at first, and I was a little upset thinking that I was going to have to rinse of after using it.
It absorbed into my skin pretty quickly though, and once it was absorbed the greasy feeling went with it.
STINKY POWER:
I did not follow up with the perfume afterwards, I wanted to see just how long the scent of the lotion would last without backup help.
Surprisingly I got a few good scented hours out of it, and the scent lasted on my clothes just like the perfume. Not as long though. I could smell it the next day on my clothes, but it definitely didn’t stick around for a week like it’s perfume pal.
JLO SIGHTINGS:
You can grab this one up when you can find it. It is a rare treat to be able to obtain just the lotion without having to buy the gift sets. However department stores such as Macy’s and JCPenny have been known to carry the lotions by themselves. But you are better of spending $15 more and getting it with a gift set. The lotion itself can run you almost $25 depending on whether or not there is a sale going on. For a few bucks more you can obtain the whole set containing perfume, lotion, and shower gel.
SKIN IMPROVEMENT'S:
None.
The lotion rubs in and absorbs quickly, however it will not leave your skin feeling moisturized at all. It leaves a nice scent behind and that’s about it. Even after many, many uses, I didn’t notice any improvements in my skin either.
As nice as this lotion smells, it really has no benefit to your skin, if you like the scent stick with just purchasing the perfume.
OVERALL:
JLo Glow lotion is a fantastic treat to the nose, and the scent does last for quite some time, however it provides no moisturize to dry skin. It’s meant for scent and nothing else, at least that is my conclusion.
RECOMMENDATION:
Buy the perfume. The lotion is not worth it.

Love It!!! DKNY Be Delicious Body Lotion
Whenever I buy body lotion, I don't buy it for the fact that it promises soft skin, or that it promises to bring relief to dry skin. I buy body lotions primarily for scent.
I bought DKNY Be Delicious Perfume for women, based solely on the fact that I loved the scent during an in store test. I should have tested it first, walked around, and seen if it lasted long. Unfortunately I ended up with buyers remorse, because I the scent didn't last long at all, and it was already too late. I purchased the bottle for close to $60.00.
When I was given a small tube of DKNY Be Delicious Body Lotion, I assumed it would be like the sister perfume. Scented great, but with no last at all.
Regardless though, I was glad it was given to me, because for 1 it was designer, and 2, I didn't buy anything for my co-worker, so I knew that it would make for a good gift (Yes I'm a re-gifter).
The lotion itself smelled awesome. I of course had to test it before giving it away. It had the exact replica scent that the perfume did.
Be Delicious smells like fresh granny-smith apples, with sugar, and a dab of honey. It has a very uplifting refreshing scent, and I love it.
The lotion is the normal bland white color that I was expecting. I was hoping though they'd add some green dye in to it, to make it a little interesting, but they didn't which is fine I guess.
It absorbs nto skin fast, and it definetley surrounds your body with it's addicting scent. As expected it did not soften skin, or help out with dry skin. Like I said though, I like lotions that offer scent, and nothing more. If you however are looking for a miracle cure for dry cracked skin, than Be Delicious Body Lotion is not for you.
The scent surprisingly stuck around for a few hours. It definitely had more staying power than the perfume, so I was pretty impressed with it.
In the end I kept the body lotion. I was going to give it away, but seeing that the last was longer than I imagined it would be, I had to keep it for myself; because I am greedy.
Pricing:
Now if you already know the Be Delicious scent, and you love it, than I definitely recommend the lotion to you, because it lasts a hell of a lot longer than the skimpy perfume does.
The pricing though is set at close to $45.00 for a 6.7 ounce tube, which is a bit high for perfumed lotion.
The choice though is up to you. Like I said though, if you love the scent, the body lotion will not disappoint.
Sean John, Unforgivable Woman Body Lotion

I'm a body lotion junkie. I have such an addicting problem that I have actually gone into my car, and found bags filled with lotions that I bought, yet forgot to take out of the car. It's like Christmas every time I clean out my car. I find oodles of goodies.
It's a sick habit, and I know I have a problem. I have a shopping problem in general, but dayum, it's just oh-so satisfying to my mind knowing I bought yet another one.
Sean John Unforgivable Woman Body Lotion however was given to me this past Christmas, and I actually got around to using it last night. Picking which body lotion to use is a very hard task for me, because I have so many of them, yet I have days when I feel like nothing I have is good enough to satisfy my nose palette. She's a picky snout. Piss her off, and she'll get all stuffy.
Now I know that this particular lotion was part of a 3 or 4 peice set, because normally Unforgivable Woman comes in a 6.7 ounce bottle. The one I was given is a mere 2 ouncer, so I know that the rest of the goods that came with this one were likely kept, or given to others. Regardless though, I'm happy that someone thought of me, so it's all good (I guess).
Scent:
I love the man version of Unforgivable, so I immediatley assumed I would love the scent that the girl version packed.
It's a decent scent, but not a scent I would likely buy for myself. It has a note of cucumbers, roses, and a very mild pinch of citrus. This is primarily what I smell anyway. Combined the Unforgivable Woman scent is fresh, yet at the same time a little spicy.
In ways it reminds me of old fashioned rose oil scents, which I hate, beause it smells like something a Granny would wear. Unforgiveable Woman though packed the perfect mix so it's only semi-borderline Granny. Only a real fragrance canissour would notice the grandma notes. My nose is a fragrance carnissour, so I noticed it immediatley.
The lotion itself is plain Jane white, with the usual lotion consistency. A little runny, but not to the point where it will come pouring out of the bottle like diahrrea.
I rubbed this one all over my body after a shower. I knew that it wouldn't moisturize my skn though, because most perfume made to lotions are only good for scent, and nothing more.
There was no exception when it came to this particular body lotion. It added scent, and nothing more.
The scent though surprisingly lingered around even into the next morning when I woke up. A powerful punch it packs, and thats definetly a good thing, especially if you already know and like this scent.
Overall it seems to be a pretty decent body lotion. The scent is not one of my favorites, and likely I wouldn't buy this one with my own money. However, like I stated, if you love the Unforgivable Woman scent, than this lotion is definetly wallet breaking worthy.
It comes to around $42.00 in most department stores like Macys, or Kohls. You can likely find it online for less, but from personal experince I will note that if you find it for under $20.00, most likely it's fake. So stick to the department stores if possible.
