Review of Bordello Teeze 20 Platform Boots

Hey there sexy! Let me guess, you spotted the hottest, cutest, and sexiest boots you've ever seen in your life! The Bordello, By Pleaser, Women's Ankle Boots (Teeze-20), and now you are wondering if these oh-so-adorable boots are worth the $70.00 asking price. Unfortunately no one has a review on these shoes, and you certainly do not want to spend that much money without at least knowing a bit more about them.

I'm happy to assist!

I spotted the Bordello, By Pleaser, Women's Ankle Boots (Teeze-20) recently on Amazon.com. I'll admit the price tag nearly sent me away, but seeing that I had a $100 e-certificate that I hadn't used yet, I went ahead and purchased the boots. There sleek sexy appearance likely would have sold me even if I didn't have the certificate.

Appearance:

Bordello, By Pleaser, Women's Ankle Boots (Teeze-20) have a very old fashioned witch hunter look to them, with a sexier modern flair, and a curvier sex kitten shape to them. They are black and white, with a concealed platform.

The tip of the boots are a shiny black material, while the mid-section of the shoe is a nice matte white finish. The very back heel of the boots are the same shiny black material the tip is made of. 3 round black buttons are attached to the sides of the boots which give the boots their modern witch hunters flair. These boots however are anything but Gothic looking.

The other side of the boot contains a zipper which allows you to get them onto your feet easier. The shoes themselves are a medium width. I have a relatively wide foot, and had no problems at all with the width of them.

Normally I wear a size 8.5 sneaker. I bought the Bordello Ankle Boots in a size 9. They are roomy enough, but I really wished for a 9.5, which would have fit much better.

The heel itself sits at a staggering height of 5 and 3/4 inches. The front platform comes in at around 1 inch in height.

When I received the boots in the mail I was ecstatic. They looked as beautiful in person, as they had online.

Comfort:

Bordello, By Pleaser, Women's Ankle Boots take some getting used to. I mean they are seriously the highest pair of shoes I have ever owned, so getting used to them took a bit. After wearing them for a few days in a row though, the comfort of the shoes eventually set in. Basically in order for these shoes to be comfortable, you have to break them in, and the only way to do that, is to wear them!

Walking may take some practice if you are not used to very high heels. I personally have always worn heels, so walking in them came with no issues. They are a bit high, but like I said, walking in them makes it easier over time.

Overall:

Yes it takes a bit of getting used to, but the Bordello, By Pleaser, Women's Ankle Boots are so adorable, that I didn't mind having to wait to break them in. They look sexy, and they'll make you feel sexy. They were worth every cent in my opinion, and you will not be disappointed in them.

Review: Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Aging, Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths

-my post also on AC
Did you know that if you wear makeup daily, and you fail to get every last trace of that makeup off a night before bed, that you are more prone to waking up to break outs?

Hopefully you knew that. If not, now you do.

I began using makeup removers since my teen years, and over the years have found that some removers work like a charm, while others contain an oil base which actually caused more harm to my skin, than they did good (break out city!).

I stuck to one particular non-oil makeup remover for years. This remover however was expensive, and did not come with much formula in its small bottle.

More recently I have found a love in cleansing cloths. Cleansing cloths not only will remove all traces of makeup, but many on the market today have cloths that will remover makeup from your skin, as well as dirt and oil. Besides just that though, they provide a benefit to the skin.

One such product goes to Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Aging, Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths.

These wet cleansing cloths will remove dirt, oil, impurities, and at the same time will leave behind a beneficial formula that will improve your skin by making it smoother both to the touch and visibly. The cloths are strong enough to even remove stubborn waterproof mascara.

My use with Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Aging, Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths, was positive. The cleansing cloths not only removed all traces of makeup, but it left my skin feeling very smooth, clean and refreshed after just one use.

Over time I noticed a subtle difference in my skin tone, but to me the difference was very, very small, so if you buy this one, don't go on expecting miracles as far as curing wrinkles goes.

If you want a really efficient makeup remover than these cleansing cloths are perfect for you. If you are looking for help with minimizing the appearance of wrinkles I'd suggest Cerave, and Estee Lauder's skin care products.

All in all though, Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Aging, Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths are cheap, effective, and leave your skin feeling clean, refreshed and new after just one use

Review of Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Wet Cleansing Cloths

-My review on AC as well

Olay's wet cleansing cloths are basically my newest addiction. For years I had used standard makeup removal liquids to rid my face of makeup, oil, and dirt. As effective as they were, they were expensive, messy, and you had to buy your own cloths in order to pour the formula onto them and use on your face.

Recently I came across a new makeup removal product that not only removes all traces of oil, dirt and makeup, but Olay's new wet cleansing cloths will also improve your skin over time.

With Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Wet Cleansing Cloths you get just that. A makeup removal, along with an infused formula with anti aging properties. The cloths will fight 7 signs of aging. They exfoliate the skin for a smoother look, and leave no residue behind.

The promises are all really wonderful, but in order to see how well they really worked, I had to put them to the test.

They come in a package of 30, and I use 2 a day. 1 when I wake up, and 1 to remove all of my makeup before bed.

My Use:

Olay's Total Effects Age Defying Wet Cleansing Clothsdo in fact clean off all traces of makeup, and they even did a wonderful job at removing my mascara and eyeliner without having to excessively rub my eye area.

After rubbing the cloth around my face till all of my makeup was gone, I noticed immediately that the cloth could have used a lot more wet formula. They tend to dry out very quickly while using them, so at times I am forced to use 2 cloths at once.

The scent it leaves behind is fresh, and non-chemical like, so that was nice, and my skin was left feeling very refreshed, clean, and smooth. I could tell the cloths did a great job at cleaning my face just by looking at my skin, and feeling my skin after the formula completely dried.

I've been using these cloths for about 2 weeks now, daily, and I haven't really noticed any difference in the fine lines around my eyes. The anti-aging promise was not really seen as far as results go.

I however love these cloths because they work a lot better than old wet formulas I've used to get makeup off of my face completely.

Overall I recommend them because they work, and they work well. They could have been tweaked with a little more formula, but all in all they get the job done and are a lot cheaper and more effective than many other makeup removal products.

Review My Sexy Shoe: Demonia Charade Black Satin Pin Stripe Platform Maryjane's

-My review also on AC

I'm average size as far as height goes, a solid 5 foot 5. However nothing makes me feel sexier than adding a few inches to my height, and giving off an illusion that my legs flow endlessly. I like the sex appeal it adds, and I like how I feel when I have on platform shoes that will add a few inches to my height.

When I first stumbled upon shoes by Demonia I was in love. I liked the sexy Gothic vibe their shoes gave off, and I liked the style, the added inches, and the overall look of Demonia's.

I came across a pair of shoes called Demonia Charade. There were a few styles to choose from which included checkerboard, plaid, or pinstripe.

Naturally I went with the pinstripe satin finish because they were the only pair that were not too over the top. Although I loved the other choices, the pin stripe satin finish was my favorite.

The shoes are big, they will definitely add a few inches to your overall height. The heel at the back comes in at 4.5 inches, while the very front platform (where you're little toes sit) add a 1.5 inch boost.

The very front of the Demonia Charade Mary Jane's have a really cute garnish, which is a zipper that runs along the front of the shoe. The zipper does not work, its just added to the shoe for a Gothic vibe without going over the top and making them look weird, or ugly.

The satin finish is sexy, and adds a small amount of shine to the shoe.

They weigh a bit, but when they are on my feet I walk without any issues at all. They are well balanced, with a comfortable fit. You will not have to practice walking in these due t the chunky back heel. Thinner heels require a bit of practice, but with these Demonia's all I had to do was slide them on, and go about my usual day to day business.

I am able to wear them for hours and hours and there is no pain, or uncomfortable pinching or pressure points.

For those who want to order them online, I will add that I am a size 8.5 sneaker (USA). I bought these shoes in a size 9, and they fit like a charm.

Overall:

I love them, and consistently get complimented on them. They have a Gothic bad girl vibe to them, with a very alluring and sexy edge. If that is your thing, than I cannot recommend these shoes enough.

Where To Buy:

I picked mine up on Amazon.com for $40.00, and they were worth every penny.

Review My Sexy Shoes: Anne Michelle Checker Trim Buckle Strap Bootie

-Review also on AC

I have a shoe fetish, I will not deny it. I probably have more shoes than is necessary, but I cannot help myself. When I come across a shoe that offers me something that no other pair can, I have to have it.

One of those pairs of shoes happened to catch my eye about 2 weeks ago on Amazon.com called Anne Michelle Checker Trim Buckle Strap Bootie.

What initially attracted me to the booties were their shape. They had such a cute and sexy curve to them at the arch that I could not resist them. Not to mention the fact that the shoes themselves had an adorable added checkered print fabric at the top of them, and two really sexy buckles that run across the top.

A zipper on the side allows me to easily slip them on and off.

Now as beautiful as they looked online, they looked in real life. They were just as cute and sexy in person which made me really happy. I have ordered plenty of shoes online, and not all what you see is what you actually get, so it was nice to see that the Anne Michelle Checker Trim Buckle Strap Bootie shoes matched their product image.

The shoes themselves were really, really comfortable, and my foot fit inside with ease. I'm normally a size 8.5 US shoe size, and I ordered the Anne Michelle Checker Trim Buckle Strap Bootie in a size 9. They fit perfectly, without any issues or discomfort with all day use/walking.

They have a 4 inch heel, which add a nice bit of height which is a plus for those of you whom like adding a bit of inches to your normal height.

One Set Back:

The shoes sadly disappointed me in one aspect. They have plastic soles, and they are extremely slippery no matter what type of surface I am walking on. I wished they would have come with a rubber sole, but it is what it is, and that's plastic.

I had to buy stick on sole slippers which added a rubber traction to he bottom of the shoe. With the sole stickers on they are no longer slippery. I highly, highly recommend that if you want these booties, you also purchase sole stickers which you can find here. Without them, you could really get hurt while wearing these shoes.

Overall:

I like the booties, but hate how slippery they initially were. Why they were not made with rubber soles is beyond me. With that aside though, and the use of foot petals, I do love the shoes. They are cute, classy, sexy, and comfortable and easy to walk in. They are unlike any other pair of booties I've ever seen and I really love them.

Where to Buy:

Amazon.com sells these exact shoes for around $30.00. They come in the ones you see in my added photo (gray), or purple. Both colors are very flattering.

Review of Soap & Glory Glamalot Fragrant Body Spray

-Review also on AC
Soap & Glory lovers hurry on down to Target, the Soap & Glory line yet again has added a new slew of 'to die for' products that fans are surely going to want to get their hands on (or should I say bodies?).

One of the newly released products I managed to pick up about 2 weeks ago, and ever since the two of us have been inseparable. It's called Soap & Glory Glamalot Fragrant Body Spray, and comes in the very humble size of 8.4 ounces, which is just about enough body spray to last half a year; even with daily use.

Glamalot is easy to miss though, but if you take your pretty little time browsing the Soap & Glory shelf at your local Target I am sure you will eventually find it. It comes in a very similar box that their other fragrant body sprays come in. However if you read the boxes carefully you may notice one that says Glamalot, that's the one you want, the one to look for, the newly released love affair!

The bottle itself is a pearl purple color, with the very cute, very nautical Soap & Glory antique texting on it.

Scent:

As far as the scent goes, fans of the original Soap & Glory scent are going to love it. For me personally, nothing by Soap & Glory smells quite as feminine and delicious as the original, however Glamalot has a lot going for it, as it has a very nice hint of the original fragrance in it, with a nice new mix of something that smells floral and sweet. All in all it smells like the original Soap & Glory with a raspberry and rose freshness to it. It's cute, it's sexy, and it is oh-so-addicting!

Last:

Now your average run of the mill body sprays don't ever have much of a long lasting fragrance. Soap & Glory body sprays however separate themselves from the standard run of the mill garbage by delivering a fragrance that is sweet, feminine... andlong lasting!

A few sprays to my jacket/sweater and I was able to detect the sweet notes of Glamalot for hours to come. Although the scent faded from my detection after a few hours, others around me were complimenting the scent. On my jacket, I was able to pick the scent up again the next day, so it definitely has a long lasting zing to it, which in my opinion is easily comparable t a fine perfume.

Overall:

Glamalot is a winner. It gives the original Soap & Glory scent a new refurbished finish which will be appreciated by fans, and new shoppers to the Soap & Gory line. It easily can be compared to perfume as it lasts just as long. Glamalot is a winner in my opinion, and a fragrant body spray I would highly recommend.

A Beautiful White Smile With Colgate Simply White Toothpaste

-My post also on AC
Everyone is on a quest for whiter brighter teeth. I like to use Crest White Strips, but I find that the price is way high, so I buy them sparingly. Listerine strips worked well enough but they were messy, and I ended up ruining more than I actually used. Not to mention that if I did not use them daily, the results quickly vanished.

Toothpaste for the most part has never really gotten my teeth sparkling white, even though hundreds of them will promise whiter teeth, none work, none I have come across anyway.

About 2 months ago though I came across a package of Colgate Simply White Toothpaste. Although I was not confident it would work really well, I went ahead and purchased it because it was on sale, and also because Colgate Simply White Gel Polish worked really, really well. Perhaps the toothpaste would too?

It comes in a cardboard package that makes it look as if it is better than ordinary toothpaste. Inside of the clever package though, you have a standard tube of toothpaste. The marketing was done well, so they get kudos in that department.

The flavor is pretty much what you would expect toothpaste to taste like. There is no odd aftertaste, but there are small abrasive crystals located within the paste that you will notice. This is used to polish the teeth, and get them good and clean without harming your teeth or gums. It's not abrasive as to where it would hurt to brush, so fear not.

So Does It Work? Will it Whiten Teeth?

Not at first.

I did not see a difference at all till about week 4 when I noticed that my teeth did in fact look a shade or two whiter than usual. Seeing that I had not been using any whitening strips, it meant that Colgate Simply White Toothpaste was working as promised.

After 2 months of daily use, I noticed a change, but nothing drastic. The whitening changes I noticed during week 4 is pretty much how it has stayed after 8 weeks of daily use. Nothing improved, but the results never diminished either.

Overall Feelings:

Yes Colgate Simply White Toothpaste works. It will take about a month to see any real results, but with long term use you will notice that your teeth will look a shade or 2 brighter and whiter.

Where To Buy:

I picked this up in the toothpaste isle at my local Target for $3.00. It is located next to regular toothpaste, but placed within the tooth whitening kits and systems. If you are looking to whiten your teeth a bit than I would suggest you give this one a try. It'll take a while, but the results will eventually shine through.

Leave the Home Smelling Beautiful With Glade, Suddenly Spring Candle

-My post also on AC

Yesterday we got a blizzard, and the weather was ice cold. About a month ago I purchased a candle by Glade called Suddenly Spring.

Initially I only burn spring scented candles during the spring or summer months, but due to the fact that I was trapped in the house, and longing for some warmer weather, I figured that perhaps the floral garden scent of Suddenly Spring would at least put me in a warmer mood.

Appearance:

Suddenly Spring comes in a rather small glass container. I've burned Glade candles before, and love them. I wished though that all of their scents that come in smaller glass containers were also sold in larger ones, as these small ones do not last but 3 days tops.

The candle itself features a floral picture on the glass jar, while the candle wax itself is a nice lime green color. The appearance alone gives off a spring vibe, which is inviting.

Scent in Jar:

The scent can be easily detected by just raising the candle slightly to your nose. It has a very potent floral scent that is absolutely to die for. It smells like a bouquet of freshly cut flowers with high notes of Lilly, rose, and hyacinth.

My only wish was that the lovely scent smelled this lovely when I lit the candle and let it burn. I have come across plenty of candles that smelled great in the jar, yet when it would be lit it would give off no fragrance whatsoever.

Scent While Burning:

The floral bouquet of scent danced around the room rather quickly, filling every nook and cranny with a warm spring flower fragrance. The longer the candle burned, the more thick and potent the scent became. All in all I was pretty impressed with how quickly the scent filled the air. Even after extinguishing the candle, the flower blanket scent stood within the room where it had been burning.

Overall:

Although the candle is rather small, burning it for just a short amount of time dispenses the scent all throughout the room. The scent is definitely a reminder of spring, and the florals are realistic, as if they were freshly cut and grounded up to be placed within the candles wax.

Major kudos to Glade for this one. Now please, sell this one in a larger version!

Keep Your Figure With Chobani Greek Yogurt, Honey Flavored, Non-Fat

-My review also on AC
Many months ago I tried my first Greek Yogurt by Chobani. I was surprised at ow different Greek yogurt was compared to yogurt's I had been eating since childhood. I was also surprised at how easily I became addicted to these delightful healthy treats.

I consistently bought blueberry flavored Greek yogurt, as well as strawberry flavored. Honey flavored Greek Yogurt by Chobani was always on the shelves, but it never really peaked my interest. I assumed it would taste too sweet, and have no fruit bits in it like the fruit flavored Greek yogurt's.

A few weeks ago though, I was left with no other options. My blueberry and strawberry flavors were apparently sold out, and all that was left was honey.

Seeing that I wanted to get my fix, I went ahead and purchased just one to see how it was. I'm glad I made the purchase because Chobani Greek Yogurt in Honey flavor is pretty dang good.

The yogurt itself has a creamy honey coloring to it, and has the exact same consistency other Chobani Greek Yogurt's have. It's creamy, thick, but not over the top like butter thick.

I stirred the yogurt, took my first taste test and found that the flavor was really good. It had an original Greek Yogurt flavoring to it, with a very light tint of pure honey flavoring. The honey flavor was not overdone or too sweet, so the combination went really well.

Chobani Greek Yogurt, in Honey flavor is non-fat, so you can eat it without feeling guilty.

Due to the thicker consistency of Greek Yogurt, it is much more filling than standard yogurt's which have a much more runny consistency, and a strong sugary flavoring.

Overall:

If you already know that you like Chobani Greek Yogurt's, than you should at least try the honey flavored one. I'm pretty confident in saying that if you like Greek yogurt in general that you will also like the honey flavored yogurt by Chobani.

Give it a try!

*You can find Chobani Greek Yogurt's in just about any supermarket down the dairy isle mixed amongst the other brands of yogurt's. They are easier to locate due to the unique large cup they come in.

Is PureVia Really as Good as Sugar?

-My post also on AC
A few months ago I was sent a box of PureVia by Viewpoints. In return for the free product all they wanted me to do was try it, and give back an honest opinion in the form of a review.

Primarily when I drink coffee, I use regular sugar, or just one packet of Splenda. I was excited to try PureVia, because it is supposed to taste just as good as regular sugar. No after taste, and healthier for you considering that it contains no calories.

The downside however is that each packet contains 2 carbohydrates, so if you use more than 1 packet, the carbs could easily add up, and fast.

PureVia is also all natural, and comes in unique elongated packets which I really liked because they are easier to take along with me.

As far as being as good as sugar, I have to highly disagree. Although PureVia is not a terrible substitute, it definitely is no replacement to sugar. One packet of PureVia is pretty weak in my usual cup of coffee.

When I use Splenda in my cup of coffee, one packet is way more than enough. PureVia though could use a kick as far as sweetening goes.

PureVia also has a slight aftertaste, it is not a bad aftertaste, but it is one that needs to be noted. It's slightly bitter, but not bad. Splenda has an aftertaste that is a little stronger, so PureVia beats it in the aftertaste department. Sugar has no aftertaste, so PureVia loses to sugar.

Overall:

PureVia is a nice addition to the world of sugar substitutes. It contains 2 carbs per packet, and is slightly weak as far as a sweetener goes, but it is a decent addition, and it is all natural.

I definitely will not use PureVia in replacement of sugar which works much better as far as a sweetener for my coffee goes. I also would not use PureVia in replace of Splenda which has a much higher frequency of flavor when it comes to sweetening my coffee.

PureVia would be good however for those who use Splenda regularly but do not like the negative effects that can be caused by Splenda.

Review of Jennifer Lopez Deseo, Perfume for Women

-Review also on AC, I own all rights
I really did not like My Glow by Jennifer Lopez. It was one of the first fragrances in her collection that I actually did not really care to purchase. After that disappointment, when I heard about another one of her new fragrances called Deseo, I was hesitant to even give it a try. I figured it would be weak like My Glow.

Deseo is not part of the Glow collection, so I figured it would have a scent that would be a million miles away from Glow (which usually features a lovely warm musk scent).

I first got a look at the bottle online, which looked like a beautiful gemstone. It was attractive, and definitely worthy of saving after the perfume ran empty.

In person though the bottle is not as glamorous looking. In person it does not shine like a true gem, it looked rather dull, deformed, and ugly. The blue color of the bottom of the bottle was slightly darker and tacky looking, while the yellow colored bottle topper featured a more piss yellow golden glow. The two colors clash and make the bottle look like some sort of cheap generic brand.

When I first spotted the bottle in person, I had a horrible feeling that the scent would be as ugly as the bottle was.
Luckily my initial impressions were dead off. Deseo at first is strong, potent, and for a brief moment smells like something an old woman would wear. It has a powerful woodsy note that hit me first. Quickly though the strong woodsy scent faded into a warmer watery note.

All in all, once the perfume dried on my skin for a bit it smelled like warm fresh pond fl orals. The woodsy scent became the undertone fragrance which gives it a warm cover.

As time wore off the scent transformed into a darker more sultry scent that was a little too powdery but at the same time nice. The fragrance itself transforms over time, but it is long lasting, which is what most women look for when it comes to perfume.

I believe it's best to call this scent a winter scent due to it's warming powdery floral notes.

Overall:

Deseo is nice, but definitely nowhere near as nice as the first few fragrances in the Glow collection. In my opinion it would have been suiting to stick this one in with the Live collection, as it has familiar remnants of the original JLo Live fragrance. Deseo however is a fragrance all its own belonging to no collection. Perhaps it will be the start of a new collection?

Review of My Glow, Perfume for Women, Newest Addition to the Glow Collection by Jennifer Lopez

My review also on AC

You win some, and you lose some. My Glow is one of Jennifer Lopez's newest fragrance launches in the Glow collection. I can whole heartedly say that I have never come across a scent in the Glow collection that I was not impressed with.

The original JLO Glow scent dazzled with with its mouth watering angelic scent, Miami Glow won me over with its sweet, sweet summery beach scent, Love at First Glow stole my heart with it's Innocent first love flavoring, and Sun Kissed Glow melted my heart with it's familiar musky fragrances. Glow After Dark is hands down the hottest unisex scent in the collection, with a sultry spice that will tickle the senses.

Then comes My Glow, which was made when JLo was pregnant with TwinLo's. The fragrance was made because most women are sensitive to high potent fragrances. My Glow mellowed it down, to match the beauty of pregnancy, and the dead low potency was perfect to keep expecting moms from gagging.

Unfortunately for me, who is not bearing a child anytime soon got jipped. My Glow is just too dang subtle; in fact when I first sampled the fragrance I was surprised at how little My Glow fit with the Glow collection. I was expecting My Glow to have that signature warm musky scent that all of the others do in the collection.

Sadly though it does not, not even in the least bit. There are no warm hugging notes, nor sweet or spicy ones. My Glow is an innocent scent, but its so weak that I had to lift my wrist up to my nose just to take in some of the notes. All of which were way too weak to justify purchasing a bottle.

The bottle itself is also un-matching to the Glow collection. The signature Glow bottles have that sexy curve that resembles a woman's body. My Glow is a short stumpy bottle, with a really tacky fogged finished angel used as the bottles topper. It reminded me a lot of an old Avon perfume bottle; cheap, tacky, and ugly.

There is absolutely no last whatsoever. After spraying the vague scent on my wrist, the scent was not even detectable. It was like spraying water on myself, and waiting for it to dry.

All in all, I'm surprised. My Glow has been the first in JLo's collection that I really did not like. A scent that was so weak that I imagine only a pregnant woman would be able to smell it, and a bottle that looked like cheap dollar store junk.

Review of Tommy Bahama Very Cool, Perfume for Women

-My review also on AC
I love Marshall's for the simple fact that they sell perfume for nearly 4 times cheaper than any other store. Tommy Bahama Very Cool perfume for women was one of those low, low priced bottles of perfume available. Normally sold at around $25-$60 a bottle, Marshall's had it on sale for only $12.99. A deal I could not refuse. A deal that really no one could refuse.

As far as scent went though, I had no idea what I was getting into. The bottle of perfume was packaged and no tester bottles were left out to sample the scent. I bought it hoping for the best, and hoping that the purchase was worth it.

The bottle itself is quite attractive, and worthy of saving even after the perfume is empty. It has an attractive water droplet shape to it, with a light blue finish. The bottle when moved around also gives off a shimmery ice like appearance which is neat.

I imagined by the appearance of the bottle, that Tommy Bahama Very Cool would smell light, airy, and of course, cool.

The Scent:

Initially I hated it. It had a very strong overbearing alcohol stink that was pretty harsh. However after allowing the scent to dry it gave off a warm powdery scent, mixed with what reminded me of a first snow fall. It was nice, fitting, and lingering on the body.

Last:

Tommy Bahama Very Cool definitely packs a lasting punch. What was so wonderful about it was that as each hour passed, the scent would transform into something different. At first the powdery scent, and then slowly a musk like amber scent which eventually toned down into a very light and feminine ocean breeze type scent.

Overall:

I could not have done better for $12.99. The fragrance is long lasting, it transforms over time, it smells delicious and the bottle itself is collection worthy. I highly recommend this one to those of you whom like scents that change over time, scents that last, and scents that are wearable all throughout the year. Tommy Bahama Very Cool is a little bit of every season mixed in one. At first it's icy, then it's warm. A mix of summer and winter in one.

Review: Tommy Bahama, Set Sail South Seas, Perfume for Women

This morning while doing some last minute holiday shopping, I sadly have to report hat I ended up purchasing more things for myself than I initially intended. I couldn't help myself. Initially the set of Tommy Bahama, perfumes for women were meant as a gift for someone else. I however took one sniff, and the set instantly became mine.

So shoot me, what can I say? I'm selfish.

One particular perfume in the set is Tommy Bahama, Set Sail, South Seas.

The bottle itself was a mini spray bottle, but resembled the larger bottle that the perfume is normally sold in. It had a cute pearly pink glimmer to it, with a pink plastic ball top.

The Scent:

The scent of Tommy Bahama, Set Sail South Seas, is initially delicious. It has a very high note of florals, and fruits, and it's stunning, tropical and feminine. It's a scent that makes you feel happy, uplifted, and warm.

As the scent begins to fade is has a more powdery floral tone to it, which is very nice.

Right before the scent completely expires from detection, it becomes a low, low note of what smells like rose to me. Although there is no rose in it, I cannot help but call it anything else but rose.

Lasting Power:

Now sadly I have to report that even though the initial scent, and scents to follow over passing time are all very nice, the staying power is really, really weak. It's been just 3 hours since I sprayed it onto my wrist and I can barely detect the fragrance.

The plus side however is that when sprayed on clothing the scent will stick around for much longer. Although it's a weakened scent, its recognizable.

Overall:

Tommy Bahama, Set Sail South Seas perfume for women is a really lovely fragrance, but it definitely does not stick around long enough on he skin for it to be worth nearly $60 for a 3.4 ounce bottle. Had the scent more staying power I'd of whole heartedly recommended it.

Seeing that I got it in a set for only $16.99 it was not as tragic. I'll continue to use up the little bottle, but likely wouldn't purchase it again unless it was available on major, major sale.

Perfume for Women Review: Tommy Bahama Set Sail, St. Barts

-My review also on AC

I recently picked up a mini set of Tommy Bahama perfume for women. The set came with 3 mini spray bottle of perfume. In the set was Tommy Bahama, Set Sail St. Bart's.

The bottle was a little bit different compared to the others, based off of the fact that it had a much more masculine look to it. The bottle itself was a really pretty frosted glass, while the top was nothing more than a round blue ball that pops off.

Without even smelling the perfume, I had a pretty good hunch that it was going to have an ocean breeze type scent to it, similar to Nautica, or Curve for men.

My hunch was pretty dead on.

Initially Tommy Bahama Set Sail, St. Bart's had a very high note of an ocean breeze scent. It was cool, fresh, watery, and masculine. It's a nice scent, don't get me wrong, but definitely not a scent all women are going to enjoy due to the fact that it smells like something you would expect a man to smell like.

The Tommy Bahama website describes it as being a citrus floral fragrance, capturing a tequila sorbet scent. As lovely as that sounds, for me, the description is a little off. OK, way off.

I didn't smell any notes of citrus, nor florals. I did however get a very quick shot of what smelled like cedar-wood, which I really love, because it reminds me of DK Light Blue.

Tommy Bahama, Set Sail St. Bart's however does not have a lingering woodsy scent. The lingering scent is watery, cool like ice, and fresh.

As time wears on, the scent still has a very masculine finish to it, but it's much lighter. Lighter, but still masculine.

Overall:

In all honesty Tommy Bahama, Set Sail St. Bart's is a really good scent, however in my opinion it is a good scent for a young man. This fragrance is too far away from being feminine to label it perfume for women. That's just my feeling though. If you like wearing manly scented fragrances, than you will probably really like this one. If not, I can't see you enjoying this one too much.

Perfume Review: Tommy Bahama Signature

-My review also on AC

Out of all of the different Tommy Bahama perfume's for women I have ever tried (nearly all of them), Tommy Bahama Signature, by far is my favorite scent in their entire line of fragrances.

Before getting into the scent, I have to mention the adorable bottle it comes in. The larger bottle features a very neat raindrop type shape bulb. It's got a pink pearl tone to it, with a pearl pink topper.

The smaller bottle I bought is a little less attractive, but thankfully it is filled with the same attractive scent as the big momma bottle.

Scent:

There is really no way to describe how Tommy Bahama Signature Perfume for women smells. It smells like what I would imagine heaven would smell like. It's very candied, floral, and sugary all in one, with a sweet undertone of musk that is lingering, soft and pretty.

What I really loved about Tommy Bahama Signature was the fact that once it began to dry on my skin, it let off a very sweet and warm high note of honeysuckle. Now I have used plenty of perfumes with a honeysuckle scent to them, but hands down Tommy Bahama Signature captures the true essence of a honeysuckle unlike any other fragrance.

Lasting Power:

As time goes on the honeysuckle scent remains in a much lighter and softer note. Unfortunately the scent is not very long lived. I put some on this evening, and it's not even 4 hours later and already the scent is barely even recognizable. I found this to be a major flaw in close to all of Tommy Bahama fragrances for women. Most smell lovely, but most don't last very long at all.

It is really such a shame, because this one is close to flawless, all except for the fact that the flawless scent does not last long enough to justify the purchase price of a 1.7 ounce bottle, which is normally priced at around $55.00.

Overall:

I picked up Tommy Bahama Signature in a set for only $16.00. The price was well worth it, but if you don't get the same set for the same price, I can't recommend buying it at a price any higher.

Review: Fragrance for Men, Deseo by Jennifer Lopez

-My review also on AC

If you are a fan of Jennifer Lopez fragrances, than I am sure you all remember her unisex scent After Dark. This spicy, sultry fragrance won the hearts of both men and women alike.

More recently though JLO released a gem of fragrance called Deseo. This fragrance was released in a female fragrance, as well as a mans fragrance.

A few days before Christmas while waiting to check out at my local Marshall's, they had a nice gift set of Deseo for men sitting on a shelf. The bottle I actually liked more than the woman's version. It had the same awesome gemstone shape, only instead of being clear in color, it was black; black yet transparent enough to see inside of the bottle at how much fragrance was left.

Seeing that the line was not moving, I decided to test out the fragrance. I sprayed a small amount of it onto my wrist, and was shocked at how much I loved the fragrance. I don't know why this one is for men, because in my opinion is unisex. A scent that both men and women will love.

The initial scent I got was evergreen, and it put me in such a festive mood. The evergreen then fades into a spicy woodsy scent, with a very, very low key note of cedar. It reminded me to the tee of this body balm I had been given a year ago called Space .NK. Body Balm, Laughter. It's got a weird tone of what smells like pencil shavings once it begins to dry a little bit. The woodsy scent is odd, but so addicting.

I am a little embarrassed to admit this, but I actually removed a gift set of womens perfume from my cart, and added Deseo for men instead. Yeah, so what, I like it, I wear it, and I will continue to buy it.

Last

This is what I love about Jennifer Lopez fragrances; nearly all of them have long lasting scent. Deseo for men is no exception, it sticks on long and hard. I am able to smell the fragrance throughout the day, and even after I think the scent fades I have people complimenting how good I smell.

When sprayed on clothing, or a jacket, the scent will last for about 2 days before it completely fades.

Deseo for men is a pure winner in my book. A scent that even women would enjoy wearing.

I got Deseo for men in a gift set of 3 for only $29.99 that included a 3.4 ounce bottle of Deseo fragrance, a Deseo scented deodorant stick and Deseo scented shave balm. I gave the shave balm to my fella, and am awaiting feedback (I kept the deodorant for myself!).

Review of Deseo for Men, Deodorant Stick, by Jennifer Lopez

My review also on AC

Last week while touching up on some last minute Christmas shopping, I came across a fragrance made for men that I fell so instantly in love with, that I had to purchase it for myself. Normally I won't buy men fragrances, but this one won me over with its tantalizing outdoorsy fragrance.

It's called Deseo by Jennifer Lopez. I usually love JLO fragrances, so I was not shocked when I fell in love with her made for men fragrance.

Deseo Deodorant for men came in the gift set, and initially I was going to pass it on to my boyfriend, however I couldn't get enough of the scent, so I kept it for myself. Besides, I use deodorant for men on a regular basis. Yeah so, I sweat more than the average woman! You got a problem with that!?

Deseo Deodorant for men comes in a small cylinder shaped gray colored tube. The lid is not pop off, which is sort of annoying. I had to unscrew the lid, which is just a time waster in the morning when I'm in a rush.

The Scent:

Deseo Deodorant has the exact same scent the Deseo for men perfume does. It's like evergreen, mixed with fresh cut cedar wood, and the great outdoors. It's a many scent, but at the same time an outdoorsy scent that men or women would appreciate (I know I do!).

My Use:

The Deodorant itself is in a clear gel form, and swipes onto the underarms with ease. It quickly absorbs and you are left feeling clean, dry, and smelling wonderful.

I bet you are wondering how well it works against protection of 'stink', and 'sweat'.

Deseo Deodorant for men protects at every level imaginable. I've been using it for about a week now and not once have I suffered from a drop of sweat, or a tint of stink. Whenever I feel my body temperature rising, Deseo Deodorant kicks it up a notch and releases the fragrance in a stronger manner. The scent is intoxicating, lovely, and you smell it, instead of your pits.

Recommendation:

It's strong. It will keep your pits dry, and leave you smelling green, like the outdoors. I recommend this one to those who like the scent of Deseo for men, and I recommend this one to those who sweat a lot.

Designer deodorants never work well, but Deseo takes it to a whole new level; it works better than 'just well'.

I recommend it to both men and women.

Review, Medieval Corset Bag by Demonia

my post also on AC

This year I made Christmas easy for everyone. I told them to go to Amazon, make a wish list and I'd buy them what I could off of their wish lists. This worked out brilliantly, even for myself!

While browsing around for some platform shoes, I came across an Amazon suggestion that I could not leave behind. A Medieval Corset Handbag by Demonia.

The handbag was right up my alley. I like unique things, that no one else has, and the Corset Handbag was just the ticket. The bag immediately caught my eye with its sexy curves, awesome buckles, and punk zipper.

The handbag is shaped just like a woman's torso. The black pleather is all done up with special little extras to make the bag look like a sexy leather vixen's corset.

At the front the bag features a sexy zipper that travels down, down, down the bag. The zipper is then garnished with 5 belt buckle like straps to really give it that extra added sex appeal that a corset does to a woman's body.

The back of the bag displays a sexy little criss crossed lace up string. All in all the handbag looks like sexy biker lingerie.

The Demonia Handbag is not very roomy, so don't expect to go shoving your entire life into it. The top zipper opens up to reveal storage space, but all I can fit into it is my wallet, my cell phone, a bottle of my favorite perfume, my car keys, and some makeup.

If you only carry essentials in your handbag now, than the Medieval Corset Bag by Demonia will have plenty of room for you. If you carry more, than this bag may not be for you.

Quality:

The Medieval Corset Bag by Demonia definitely does not resemble real leather, but the material is tight and looks hot. The only complaint I have is that the bottom fringe bends when you place the bag down. I imagine over time eventually the fake material will rip, so I have to take extra special care when I use the bag.

Recommendation:

The Medieval Corset Bag by Demonia is sexy, and is a must have for young punk rocker girls, or girls who like unique and sexy things.

I've owned the bag since Christmas and have already gotten over a dozen compliments on it. It's definitely different!

Review of Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Perfume for Women

-my Post also on AC

I initially fell in love with Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist about a year ago when I was given a half of a tube of Cashmere Mist Body Cream.

When I was asked what I wanted for Christmas this year, Cashmere Mist was a top priority on my list. I knew the designer fragrance was expensive, but also knew that I could get away with asking for it during the holidays. I also knew that someone who cared enough would go out of their way to splurge a bit...on me. Tee-hee!

Initially I was only expecting a new tube of Body Cream. Instead I got the whole enchilada. A gift set which included 3 DK Cashmere Mist scented products. Perfume of course being one of them.

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist comes in a pretty bottle that reminds me of a crystal shaped swan. It's pretty, but the odd top is a little bit annoying, as I have numerous times tried to put the cap on backwards, because the shape is so deceiving.

I know a lot of people collect perfume bottles even when the perfume is gone. Donna Karan Cashmere Mist comes in a bottle that's worthy enough to keep after the perfume is gone, in my opinion.

The Scent:

Gosh I do not even know how to describe this one to you without using words that won't make sense. Besides, you don't really know what heaven smells like, but Cashmere Mist probably smells like what a real heaven would smell like.

It has an innocent scent, it's so white, pure, and addicting. I can wrap my mind around it just thinking about it. It's a calming powdery musk like scent, mixed with something sweet and sensual. All in all the scent is sexy, seductive and one you will wear with pride.

The Last:

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Perfume for women, lasts, and lasts, and lasts some more. A very small spritz to your wrist or chest and you will be filled with the seductive scent all day long.

What's really special about Cashmere Mist is that as your body temperature rises, the scent will kick it up into overdrive just flooding you with its delicious fragrance.

Overall:

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist is a pure winner; a scent that I think everyone and anyone will love; even the pickiest of fragrance connoisseur's.

Review of Lush, Christmas Party Bath Bomb

-My post also on AC

Ho-Ho-Ho!!! I love Lush, and was glad to have gotten a sack full of Lush goodies this Christmas. Inside my sack of bath time delights I pulled out a large bath bomb righteously called Christmas Party.

Lush's Christmas Party Bath Bomb is a nice hefty solid bath bomb, which weighs in at 6.3 ounces. If you really wanted this large bomb to go the extra mile you could crack it up and get 2 uses out of it.

The bomb itself is white in color; yet on the Lush website it's a luscious dark tan color.

My particular bomb came with small, medium, and large plastic star shapes on the top of it. I later on discovered these stars were also inside of the bomb and release as the bomb is melting.

My Use:

After climbing in to my bath, I plopped in Lush's Christmas Party Bath Bomb, and waited to see what this big fizzy would do.

Immediately it fizzed on impact with the water. A creamy vanilla colored foam rose to the surface of the water, and the Christmas Party began.

The scent was nothing really lucrative, it had a nice smell, which reminded me of root beer and citrus. It's a refreshing scent, but dull and mild. Not bad though in the least, just somewhat weak.

The stars unfortunately sank to the bottom. It would have been nice to have them rise to the surface, but they sank. My bomb also had not a trace of glitter or confetti in it. On the Lush.com website they describe this one as having stars, glitter and colored confetti. Mine had stars, but nothing else. I think if it included confetti and glitter it would have made the bath feel more festive.

The stars though made it feel like a 4th of July themed bath, not Christmas at all, unless you celebrate Christmas in July.

The water in the bath became silkier, but I have used other bath bombs that did a heck of a lot better when it comes to softening of the water. A bath bomb as large as Christmas Party should have packed huge amounts of softening properties to the water, but it didn't.

Overall:

Christmas Party Bath Bomb by Lush, was a decent bath bomb, but for it's larger size it could have really done more. The water was silky, but not as silky as it could have been. The bomb also was missing 2 of its key fun ingredients (glitter and colored confetti).

It smelled nice, and the scent did linger in the bathroom for hours after my bath was over, however it's not a bath bomb I'd use again, or buy. The Christmas theme would have worked better had they used red and green colored stars, and not bright Easter pastel colors.

All in all Lush's Christmas Party gets 2.5 stars out of 5 from me.

Review of Lush Cinders Bath Bomb

-My post also on AC

Santa stuffed a bag full of Lush goodies under the tree this Christmas, and included in the sack of bathing delights was the newly released bath bomb, Cinders.

Lush describes Cinders as a crackling bath bomb; basically you pop the bomb into the water and you will actually hear it crackling. The small sugary orange crystals located on the top of the bomb are also located all throughout the bomb. They are made with the same stuff that Pop Rocks are made of. Cool!

The bomb itself resembles the Cinders Bath Bomb you see on the Lush website. They tried their best to make it resemble the glowing embers of a fireplace. The crackling effect is supposed to resemble burning wood.

It's creative I'll give it that, but when I first got a look at it, it reminded me more of spiced apple cider. Probably because the name Cinders resembles cider more than anything.

My Use:

I put Cinder's to the test last night after work. After running my bath, I hopped in and took Cinder's with me. Immediately the bath bomb began to fizz, snap, and lightly pop. As it melted it left a small pool of creamy yellow colored foam on top of the water.

The small pop rocks within the bomb began to release and fall to the bottom of the tub. I didn't really like it though because it took some time for the flecks to completely melt, so while they melted they sort of scratched my legs and butt. Haha! It was not a terrible abrasive feeling, but it was one I could have done without.

The bomb did however silken the water slightly, which was a nice and soothing feeling to my skin.

The Scent:

Cinders Bath Bomb has a very, very weak fragrance to it. The only time I could smell it was when it was dissolving in the water. It let out a weak aroma that reminded me of powdered sugar (aka pixie sticks), the scent was nice like candy, but weak, really weak!

Once the bomb was completely dissolved, not a hint of the fragrance was left behind; not in the water, not in the air.

Overall:

Cinders was very weak in the scent department which was disappointing. It did however moisten my skin and leave it feeling clean and soft.

Cinder's was nice, but it lacked. It's a bomb that I personally would not buy. I'm grateful to have been given the bomb, but all in all it didn't win me over.

-Cinders comes in at 3.1 ounces and sells for $3.95. It's one of Lush's lower priced bombs, but frankly I feel it should cost even less for what it gives out, which is not very much.

Review of Bio Active Anti Aging Cream, Advanced Double-Lifting Effect

I'm 27 years old, and although I've got good genes on my side as far as wrinkles go, over time I noticed that I have really small fine lines coming in near my eyes. They call them crow's feet, or laugh lines. Regardless of how they got there, I wanted them gone. If I cannot get rid of them, I figure with facial products I could at least attempt to slow them down.

While browsing around at my local Marshall's, I came across quite a selection of anti-aging products. I went with Bio Active Anti Aging Cream Advanced Double-Lifting Effect, because it was on sale for just $7.99, and it included a nice little detailed description on the package of what I could expect from it. Normally Bio Active Anti Aging Cream Advanced Double-Lifting Effect comes to around $20.00.

Basically it is supposed to help maintain the skins appearance against aging, while exfoliating and smoothing the skin.

I really didn't know what to expect of it, and the whole 'exfoliating' addition to the description made me wonder if it would be a cream with small micro beads in it. I found this odd because most exfoliators require you to rinse after using it.

When I got home, I removed the tub from the package and opened it up. Inside was a pure white cream, semi thick in consistency. The scent of the cream was fresh cut cucumbers, toned down a bit as to not gag you.

I applied the cream to the entirety of my face after washing it. The cream went on smoothly, and absorbed rather quickly. There were no exfoliaton beads within the cream. I am not really sure how the cream exfoliates, or why it was even added to the description, because I felt no exfoliation going on at all as I rubbed it into my skin.

My skin felt hydrated and soft afterward, with no residue left behind. I was happy with it; now if I saw results with long term use, I'd be even more happy.

One Month Results

It's been a month since I began using Bio Active Anti Aging Cream Advanced Double-Lifting Effect. At first when I began to use it I got a few small pimples on my forehead and cheeks, which was expected. This is what happens whenever I use new products. Over a few short days of use though, the break outs no longer occurred.

My skins appearance after a month has been relatively the same. The fine lines near my eyes are still there, but my skin is a lot more moisturized, with less oily spots on my forehead than usual.

The cream is supposed to protect against again, so really I'm not sure if it's doing the job or not. I do however like how my skin looks and feels healthier with no oily T-Zone.

I'll continue to use this one till it's gone. I'm just not sure if it is a product I'll buy consistently. I still prefer Cerave over Bio Active Anti Aging Cream Advanced Double-Lifting Effect.

I will however recommend it to those of you who suffer from shiny foreheads/noses. It takes care of that issue, but not as dramatically as Cerave will.
