My mom was actually the one who brought home a big bottle of Infusium 23
leave-in treatment, Original for Damaged Hair. The bottle itself was
truly nothing to look at, nor was I even interested at what this plain
bottle had to hold.
I watched her though apply a small amount to her hand and apply it to
her hair. I didn't take the time before to even dabble with the bottle;
but from the looks of how she was using it, it was clear that it was a
leave in formula. I didn't know that before, I thought it was just a
boring ol' dollar store conditioner.
She began ranting and raving about how wonderful that it was, that of course I wanted to try some.
I pulled up the small applicator tip and squeezed....umm....oops...
It got everywhere, and she should have warned me that Infusium 23
leave-in treatment, Original for Damaged Hair has the exact same texture
as water. It ran down my hand, down my arm; all over the place.
The next attempt was just as messy and annoying, and instead of
spilling it on the floor like my mom. I decided to apply the formula to
my brush instead, and apply it that way. Haha! I'm smooth man!
Scent:
The next thing I noticed (aside from the mess on the floor) was
Infusium 23 leave-in treatment, Original for Damaged Hair scent. It was
nice, really nice. Even if this formula did diddly squat for my hair, I
wouldn't mind using it just for the smell. It's a light honey/spa scent.
A mix of both. It reminded me of how my skin smells after getting out
of a jacuzzi. Some people may be sickened by that scent, but I like it.
Results:
After applying Infusium 23 leave-in treatment, Original for Damaged
Hair to my locks I noticed really....um...nothing, but scent. My hair
felt the same. I figured since it is a leave in treatment that it would
take time to show results, and that my hair would gradually improved.
I used it every day though, and still the same. But hey did I mention that it made my head smell good?
Over the next month of regular use I realized that Infusium 23
leave-in treatment, Original for Damaged Hair did nothing but that. I
had hair that smelled good. As far as bringing relief to dry frizzy
hair, Infusium 23 leave-in treatment, Original for Damaged Hair failed
miserably.
Recommendation:
Infusium 23 recommends that you use this while using their step 1 and
step 2 shampoo and conditioner. (Products in which I myself hate)
I have used the 3 separately and can say I hate their shampoo and conditioner. They make hair feel greasy.
Overall:
I still enjoy Infusium 23 leave-in treatment, Original for Damaged
Hair only because it has a scent that sticks with my hair that I enjoy.
Other than that though it is pretty wasteful. If you like long lasting
scents, then this is an awesome leave in 'scent'. If you are after treatment for dry hair, look elsewhere. I recommend Queen Helen's Cholesterol.
Finding it:
It's available nationwide at any drugstore or superstore you can think of.
