I have become obsessed with adding random colorful strands of hair
underneath a layer of black hair. It allows the bold colors to pop,
while giving me a unique creative look. I do not know if it is trendy,
nor do I care. I simply love my colorful hair!
I had been using Splat colors in the past with really poor results.
Bold colors that were promised ended up looking dull and washed out in
color after just a few shampoo's. I wanted something that gave me the
color it promised, with long lasting effects so I wouldn't have to
re-color so often.
In order to get those bold colors though, those pinks, lavenders, and
aqua blue strands, you must, and I repeat must bleach the strands of
hair first. Bleach them good; so light that the hair is almost white,
and that will be how you will achieve your very best bright bold colors.
Anyhow, I am not here to discuss how to bleach your hair. I am here to tell you about Beyond The Zone, Color Jamz, Bubble Head Pink Hair Color, and the results I got when coloring my bleached hair.
The color in the bottle is a really hot, hot, hot pink. It is near
magenta but you do not necessarily get that hair color once you let it
sit and wash it out.
Beyond The Zone, Color Jamz, Bubble Head Pink Hair Color comes as is.
There is no kit, no gloves, or aftercare shampoo included. You will need
gloves because this stuff stains!
There is also not a bleach kit included, so you must purchase a
bleaching kit in order to get bright bold results. On dark hair this dye
will not work at all. It will tint it, but it will only show in direct
sunlight, and will not look very good.
My Results:
The color I got on bleached blond hair, was a really deep colored baby
pink, which looked gorgeous, but not as bright as I was hoping. I was
not at all disappointed with the results, but I was expecting that
deeper magenta pink color that the dye in the bottle is.
Overall:
The color is pretty, don't get me wrong, but I was hoping for a more vivid color of pink than what this dye delivered.
A few days later I added some more hoping to get a more bright colored
pink, and it seemed to work a little bit. It seems the more you do it,
the better the results. However it is still not that hot bright pink
color I was initially hoping for.
I would rate this one 2 out of 5 stars. It does work but not as well
as I was hoping it would. I would recommend a deep colored pink by Manic
Panic, as I get better results with their products.
