Review of Bath and Body Works Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray

I'm a Bath and Body Works junkie, but I had no idea that the hairspray that my uncle packed into a box of beauty goodies contained anything from Bath and Body Works.
In the box was a thin aluminum can of Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray. I discovered after using it and looking to review it that the hairspray is actually available from Bath and Body Works. Cool beans!
Appearance:
Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray comes in a long thin aluminum can. The can itself is white with blue writing that runs down it's side. The writing of course includes the name Fekkai, and the products name and description. The writing itself is done up in a fades out blue which is actually really pretty.
The Promise:
On the bottle Fekkai Hairspray promised a non-sticky invisible hold that you could actually brush. The formula also contains UV protection, and avocado oil that supposedly will create a natural finish.
This morning while rushing out of the house I had some loose ends that I wanted to fix. I wear my hair in a bun when I don't have the time to straighten it, and because my hair is so thick and heavy, I always have a few stragglers on the top of my head that manage to free themselves of my hair tie.
Due to the fact that the nozzle on my white rain hairspray is missing it's spray nozzle (I can't find it anywhere), I decided to dig into the box of goods my uncle brought to me this month. I recalled seeing a bottle of hairspray, so I went searching for it.
My Use:
After finding the bottle in the box I simply sprayed away and let the hairspray do the rest of the work. As I applied, I also held down the pieces of hair that I was trying to put back in place. It worked like a charm, the hair was back in place, and now being held down with the hair spray.
What was astonishing about the hairspray was that it did not leave my hair sticky, nor did it feel weighed down, however there was hold, and the hold was good.
I was expecting my hair to cake up or feel hard and crispy, but it didn't. It left my hair slightly crunchy, but I knew that I could in fact easily brush my hair with the spray still in it, so they didn't lie there.
By mid afternoon my hair was still in place, exactly the way I had styled it in the morning.
I will also note that you can easily brush through your hair without it flaking up. I don't know how they did it, but Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray is a winner, after seeking the product out online, I can see why it is a winner. For the high price of $23.00 it better damn well do something magical.
The hairspray does though, it is light weight, you can brush through your hair and the spray will hold hair all day long. Fekkai Sheer Hairspray also has a barely detectable fragrance.
Overall:
I will admit it; I was impressed. I liked how it felt, I liked how fast it dried, and I liked the fact that it looked like I wasn't wearing any hairspray at all. Best of all though was the fact that I was flake free for the entire day. Many hair sprays claim to be flake free, yet they are not. Fekkai didn't even mention flake free...but I got flake free hair anyway. Sweet!
Is It Worth $23.00 Though?
This is where I sort of have an issue with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray. Not many people have $23.00 to spend on hairspray. The price is high; very high, especially when you are like me and you are used to only dishing out $2 or $3 on your hairspray. When one hears $23.00 they laugh, look away, and move on.
I do wish though that they would lower the price, I don't really think it is worth $23.00. Cutting the price in half would be reasonable.
I'm not saying that it's not great hairspray though, because it is great by all means...the price though is the one downfall in the product.
