I have never been much of a fan of suave hair care products...but when I
run out of my own shampoo or conditioner, my mom always had the
bathroom fully stocked with these cheaper hair care products; so of
course, I use them.
One Suave hair care product she always has in tote is Suave Naturals
Juicy Green Apple Conditioner infused with Apple Extract and Vitamin E.
She buys the green apple scented conditioner every time we run out.
I am not fond of the plasticy green apple scent, but when you have nothing else to use, one must settle on whats available.
The conditioner comes with 15 ounces of extremely pale runny
conditioner. It has the consistency of lotion, and this is sort of why I
hate it. I find that thick conditioners do more for my hair type. These
thin liquidy conditioners sort of just rinse out and untangle, but they
will not leave hair moisturized once it is dry.
The claim:
Suave Naturals Juicy Green Apple Conditioner infused with Apple
Extract and Vitamin E claims that it brings out the natural beauty in all hair types, while leaving your hair touched with the lovely scent of green apples.
The claim is not much, but what does one expect for $1.00?
My Use:
After shampooing I applied a decent amount of Suave Naturals Juicy
Green Apple Conditioner infused with Apple Extract and Vitamin E to my
wet locks. I let it sit for 3 minutes, and rinsed. My hair was left
lightly manageable, and I could feel a slight difference while rinsing. I
knew though that once I got out of the shower, and my hair began to dry
my results were not going to be up to the normal lovely hair standards.
Of course, I was correct. I have known Suave products for all too many years, and they are a dollar for a reason.
My hair was left frizzy, and puffy; with a touch of green apple scent. Hehehe!
Overall:
I was disappointed, but I knew I would be. Showers with Suave hair
care products are all the same...no matter what the promise, the scent,
or the price. Their shampoos and conditioners are just too light for my
thick wavy hair type.
Recommendation:
Although this conditioner sucks for my hair type, I could see it
working well for those with thin straight hair. It is a very light
formula, and does leave a pleasant scent behind.
Everyone else; pass it by.
Where to find it:
You can actually find both the shampoo and conditioner in local dollar stores. Why spend more?
