When Sensual Amber first was released to Bath and Body Works Signature
Collection I was in heaven. I bought everything and anything I could
find from the collection. The perfume, the lotion, the shower gel, and
so on.
When Bath and Body Works released Blackberry Amber I was more than
excited to run to the store and give it a sniff. If I loved Sensual
Amber, odds were I would fall head over heels for Blackberry Amber as
well.
I had options with Blackberry Amber. I could buy the lotion, the
shower gel, or the eau de toilette (perfume). I knew that Signature
Collections lotions and bath gels were not a favorite of mine, so I went
straight ahead for the eau de toilette. The store had a shelf with a
tester bottle and a gave it a try.
Scent:
Glorious, heaven in my nostrils, so heavenly my nose hairs could cry.
Blackberry Amber smells very similar to Sensual Amber, but with a hint
of blackberry. You can easily tell that the blackberry scent is
included. It's nice! Oh it's nice!
Price:
Oh it's not nice, oh no it's not. Blackberry Amber comes to nearly as
much money as a cheaper designer perfume. I was taken back by the $18.00
price tag, but I had purchased Sensual Amber as an eau de toilette a
few months prior, and knew that the scent was somewhat long lasting. I
just hoped that Blackberry Amber was just as long lasting as it's big
sister.
Appearance:
Blackberry Amber Eau De Toilette comes in a square glass bottle and is
colored a pale purple that fades into a darker purple. The bottle is
sort of pretty, but nothing you would want to save. The nozzle at the
top is a standard perfume spritzer. On the glass bottle itself the words
Blackberry Amber is written in white lettering.
You will not have a hard time finding it because it will be located on
shelves right next to the rest of Blackberry Amber products.
Lasting Power:
At home I doused myself in Blackberry Amber and hoped the nice brisk
scent would last all day. I can proudly report that Blackberry Amber
does in fact last all day long. Spraying a few sprays onto your clothing
in the morning will keep you smelling like the perfume till night
falls. If you spray it on your jacket you will even be able to clearly
detect it on you the next day (if you wear the jacket again that is).
Overall:
For $18.00 Blackberry Amber is a great perfume. It lasts longer than
most high end priced designer fragrances I have purchased in the past. I
still think Sensual Amber smells 100x's better, but Blackberry Amber
smells awesome too. It's delish, but not as delish as Sensual Amber.
Recommendation:
It's a green light go. Blackberry Amber is definitely worth a
purchase...do check out Sensual Amber first though and see which one you
like best.
