Review of Temptations Simply Divine Cherry Pie 3 in 1 Bath Gel from Bath and Body Works

I know this may sound odd to some, but whenever I am down and blue I drown my woes in Bath and Body Works. Last night when we discovered the house we were purchasing had no CO's I was down in the dumps yet again. Instead of drowning my sorrows in a bucket of ice cream I went to my favorite spot. Bath and Body Works of course.
I knew they had a bunch of new things in for the winter, and a bunch of new things I had yet to buy from the fall collection.
I already knew I loved Simply Divine Cherry Pie's body lotion, so when I saw the l3 in 1 staring at me on the shelf, I had to have it. I already loved the scent, and I love Temptations 3 in 1's. Put two and two together and they have themselves a sale.
Price:
Simply Divine Cherry Pie 3 in 1comes to $12.00 for a 16 ounce bottle. There basically is enough gel in there to last me all year.
Appearance:
The bottle is shaped like a standard bottle of Temptations 3 in 1's.
It's a normal stand up see through bottle with writing on the bottle that says Simply Divine Cherry Pie. There is also a drawn on photo of a warm home made cherry pie. It's pretty tasty looking, and pretty hard to miss on the shelves.
The lotion itself is holly berry red in color, and comes out of the top through a click up cap. A simple little squeeze, and the gel comes out.
Scent:
Simply Divine Cherry Pie is named to the tee. It is simply divine. It smells exactly like cherry pie, warm delicious mouth watering cherry pie. It has a distinct scent of cherries, with a hint of warm vanilla (the crust, mmm). It does not have that sour cherry scent that a lot of scents designed for teens have. It is sophisticated, and did I mention that it's simply divine!?
As A Shampoo:
My favorite use for Temptations 3 in 1's is using it as a shampoo and a body wash. I enjoy using Temptations as shampoos though because they leave behind an awesome scent that lasts for about 2 days.
As a shampoo Simply Divine Cherry Pie, is simply divine. The gel itself is rather thick, and creates a really sudsy lather. After rinsing out though my hair was left slightly dry feeling. All Temptations 3 in 1's tend to do this to my hair, however this is nothing that some decent conditioner can't take care of.
The scent remained with my locks for nearly 2 days. While brushing my hair I could easily detect the cherry pie scent.
Overall Opinion:
As shampoo Simply Divine Cherry gets 4 stars. Minus a star due to the drying feeling it leaves behind after rinsing.
As A Bubble Bath:
I don't like Temptations 3 in 1's very much for bubble baths. They do not produce many bubbles, and the bubbles the 3 in 1's do produce do not last very long at all. Simply Divine Cherry Pie was like all the rest. It barely made bubbles, and the bubbles it did make popped in less than 5 minutes. The bath water though had a nice cherry pie scent to it, that will stick with you for about an hour after bathing.
Overall Opinion:
As a bubble bath I give it a 2. Minus 3 stars for the lack of bubbles. It's supposed to be a bubble bath right? So my rating is fair.
As A Body Wash:
A little goes a long way with Simply Divine Cherry Pie. I used a small quarter amount in my bath puff. It created a lovely scented thick lather that was actually very moisturizing to my skin. After rinsing off though the scent was gone, and so was the moisturizing feeling.
However the scent is so nice while you are using it.
Overall Opinion:
I rate the wash a 3. Minus 2 stars for the lack of scent after rinsing, and the lack of moisturization.
Final Overall Opinion:
Simply Divine Cherry Pie 3 in 1 is excellent for scent when used as a shampoo. It is an okay body wash, and sucks when used as a bubble bath. However because the scent is so realistic to an actual cherry pie, I definitely see myself buying this one again.
I do however prefer the Simply Divine Cherry Pie Body Lotion over the 3 in 1.
