Review of Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Tiramisu

Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Tiramisu, is definitely a lipstick color I wouldn't chose on my own, this particular lipstick was gifted to me by a relative. I was excited to get it regardless though, because I have been a fan of Estee Lauder's Crystal Lipstick and Glosses for about 2 years now, and a new color to the ever growing collection never hurts.

At first glance the color seemed nice enough, I did not get why they labeled this one tiramisu though, as it has nothing really color matching to the desert, besides maybe the gold shimmer in the lip color? Other than that though, this one on first glance looks like a light golden plum.

Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Tiramisu is overall a light colored pink/plum, but when you apply it the crystal shimmer makes itself known with a gold shimmering sheen left behind. It all sounds beautiful in theory, but on lips it is much lighter and barely even recognizable, especially if you have tan skin.

On someone with very fair skin, this color may be more suitable and show up more, but for those with tan or darker skin colors this one acts more like a lip gloss than it does lip color.

The Last:

Most Pure Color lipsticks fail me when it comes to last. I love most of the collections colors, but wished Estee would amp up the formula in their lipstick so that way it actually stays on for longer than 20 minutes.

Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Tiramisu is no exception, there is very little wear here, you get around 20 minutes and it is gone. If you smoke or drink while wearing this lipstick, expect it to vanish even faster.

Scent/Flavor/Texture:

Although Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Tiramisu does not resemble anything you would find as far as colors go in a tiramisu, it has a tiramisu flavoring to it that is light, and semi annoying. I do not like flavors in my lipsticks, as it degrades the quality to a more teenager type purchase.
The texture of the lipstick is smooth though, and silky and glides on easily.
Once on, it leaves behind a touch of moisture which actually soothes the lips, so that is the one plus you find in this lipstick.

Overall:

Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in Tiramisu does not provide enough color, or last to justify the price. I would skip on this one and go for a long lasting lipstick which actually shows color, and stays put. CoverGirl right now is a top favorite of mine.
