About a month ago I was given a tube of Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Mask
as a gift. Being a huge fan of Estee Lauder's cosmetics and line of
skin care I was really excited to try this one out for myself.
Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Mask promises a
bunch of different things for your skins benefit. First is that it will
amplify your skins natural ability to make collagen, next it promises to
plump up the skin for a healthier, more refreshed looking face, and
lastly it will moisturize and brighten the look of tired lackluster
skin.
It seemed pretty good, packed with a lot of promises, I went ahead and tried it for the first time.
My Use:
Applying Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Mask is
interesting. It's got this odd salmon color to it, with a neat metallic
tin man like finish that looks really odd on the face. As the formula
sits for some time you will see the color begin to intensify into a more
metallic burnt salmon orange. It's actually a really pretty color, like
a pretty eyeshadow, with a glimmering metallic finish.
As it sits, I began to feel it tingling my skin, which was actually a pleasant feeling.
Once I washed it off, my face definitely felt ultra clean and
refreshed. As far as looking more plum, and bright I did not see much of
a difference.
I liked however the deep clean feeling, so I had no complaints. I
figured perhaps after a few more regular uses I would see a difference
in the long run.
The following morning however, I awoke to find an array of newly
developed pimples, which really made me mad because my skin only tends
to break out when a product irritates it, and apparently this one had
irritated the skin.
Once the breakouts cleared up, I decided to try the mask again, hoping
that the last break out was perhaps caused by other influences.
I went ahead and used the mask the same way I had before, as directed.
The next day the exact same thing happened the last time I had used
Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Mask. I wrote it off
as too irritating to my skin to continue to use it, as I hate break outs
more than small fine lines.
Considering the fact that my skin looked the same both times I used
the mask, I figured it was not worth continuing to use, as I'd have more
and more break outs if I continued to keep using it.
Overall:
It works as a great cleanser, and leaves the skin feeling really
clean, however the appearance of my skin did not change, and the mask
caused break outs. I can't really recommend this one based off of that
alone. The price is also way too steep for the amount of product you are
actually getting.
