Review of L'Oreal Endless Kissable ShineWear the Glossiest Zero-Transfer Lip Duo, First Blush 105

Into the bottom pits of my makeup case sprouted a lipstick I had not seen in ages, L'Oreal Endless Kissable ShineWear The Glossiest Zero-Transfer Lip Duo, First Blush 105.
This weekend I dumped my makeup case and made room for newer things that I found in the makeup department.
L'Oreal Endless Kissable ShineWear The Glossiest Zero-Transfer Lip Duo, First Blush 105 was of course one of those products that went straight to the trash can.
Here is why:
1. The lipstick is very drying
2. Long term use will actually cause your lips to slightly peel from over drying
3. The color fades into something fluorescent looking from the big 80's
4. The gloss that comes with the lip color makes lips feel sticky and grimy after applying and drying
Why I bought It:
I bought L'Oreal Endless Kissable ShineWear The Glossiest Zero-Transfer Lip Duo, First Blush 105 many, many moons ago because the whole long lasting concept seemed too good to be true...and let me tell you, it was.
Now the concept was this, and this is what sold me...the lip color would not transfer while kissing, while drinking, or if you accidentally brush your lips against your clothing...or his clothing.
The box came with lip color and a tube of gloss to cover the lips with.
I first applied the lip color, and was surprised at how thick and waxy the lipstick felt. Applying it was actually pretty nasty, and definitely odd. I figured though that once I applied the gloss this nasty dried out feeling would go away.
I applied the gloss which has a thick sticky texture to it. It was not a feeling I liked at all...I couldn't blot, because if I recall correctly the box said not to.
So here I was with these sticky, yet dried feeling lips. Its truly a mix that is not nice feeling at all, especially on your lips!
Long Lasting?
L'Oreal Endless Kissable ShineWear The Glossiest Zero-Transfer Lip Duo, First Blush 105 doesn't lie when it says it lasts long, nor does it lie when it says the color will stay put. The color does stay put, and for a really long time. L'Oreal Endless Kissable ShineWear The Glossiest Zero-Transfer Lip Duo, First Blush 105 was probably the first lipstick I had ever used that lasted this long...but the punishment was extremely dry and chapped feeling lips. By the end of the day a layer of my skin had come off my lips (it didn't hurt, nor was it chunks) but the result was nasty looking.
Color Fade:
Now the lip color does last long, the package does not lie...however the color does fade into a different color after a few hours. My First Blush lip color which was actually a light shimmery pink when I applied it, had for some reason turned into a deeper dark hot pink color. Or my lips were having an allergic reaction? Who can say?
Either way, all I know is that by mid-day I had hot pink lips.
Overall:
I used it once, and never again. It was harsh on my lips, it felt nasty, and it dried the skin on my lips out terribly. Now if L'Oreal were to come out with a moisturizing version of this lipstick, then it would be the perfect long lasting lip color...till then i would avoid this one completely.
Price:
I spent close to $12.00 on it about a year ago. I am sure though the price has declined drastically, especially seeing how it's such a crappy product.
