Review: Chanel Glossimer - Magnifique

Recently I was given a slew of designer makeup products. One product that I sort of wanted to give away to a friend was Chanel Glossimer in the color Magnifique.
It's not that the product sucked it was the fact that I myself am not fond of, and have never really been fond of lip gloss. Lip gloss makes my lips feel greasy, sticky, and I hate 'feeling' things on my lips. If it goes on my lips it must be weightless, it must feel as if nothing is there at all. In my lifetime of makeup purchasing I have never ever come across a gloss that felt like it wasn't there. It just is not possible.
I knew just by looking as Chanel Glossimer Magnifique that it would feel gunky and greasy on my lips.
Color-
Chanel Glossimer Magnifique is pink when you first observe it. If you bring the square shaped tube closer to your face though you can clearly see micro speckles of golden glitter. The color reminded me of a lip gloss product I have used from Maybelline, so it's color did not impress me; it wasn't original.
In order to review this designer gloss though I had to use it, even though I didn't care to.
twisted the cap off, and inside was of course a wand attached to the cap. It's like a standard gloss wand; we have all seen them before. I applied the gloss directly to naked lips. Usually I apply gloss on top of lipstick, but I wanted to test it on nude lips, and then on top of lipstick to see if there would be a significant difference to note.
On top of nude clean lips Chanel Glossimer Magnifique didn't do much for me at all. The lovely pink color that is boldly seen in the tube barely even shows up on the lips.
It gives a slight tint of color, and a slight shine. The golden flecks though that you can see in the gloss is also non-existent on your lips when you apply it. I was pretty surprised. All I got was shiny lips. Nothing much else to note about it.
Texture:
The feeling was yucky. I don't like the feeling of greasy sticky lip gloss, and this is exactly what Magnifique gives. It's not very sticky, but the feeling of stickiness has to be noted, because it's there all right.
On my lips this greasy feeling lasted for nearly an hour until I licked it all off.
On Colored Lips:
I applied a lipstick before applying Chanel Glossimer for the second time. This time I applied a dark red colored lipstick and swiped on some Glossimer. The pink color didn't change the red lipstick I wore underneath, but I was able to see the golden micro flecks on top of the red lipstick. It turned my red lipstick into a shiny golden red color that I must say looked pretty nice.
However I have seen this before from Maybelline. So I was not in awe, nor would I go out on my own to purchase Glossimer.
The greasy feeling was present for the same amount of time as it was when applied to nude lips.
Overall:
I'm not saying that Chanel Glossimer is a horrible product. In fact it was one of the nicer glosses I have ever used. I just hate that feeling gloss leaves on lips. I have always hated that 'feeling'. Those who are used to gloss and do not mind that glossy greasy texture would enjoy this product.
My opinion stays though when it comes to the color of Magnifique. It is just too light and does not give off enough pink color. When applied it's practically clear.
I do recommend you check out the site and go for a darker color.
