Review of Bath and Body Works: Dreamy Chocolate Mint 3 in 1

Christmas is in the air...I can smell it all around me. I know fall isn't even over yet, but I can smell like Christmas whenever I please, thanks to Bath and Body Works early release of their winter scents.
Season changes are my favorite, not only do I get to enjoy the season that is ahead of me, but I get to enjoy a slew of new products from my favorite bath and body shop in thee world; Bath and Body Works.
I'm 100% in love with the winter scents they threw at us this time. From gum drops to candy canes...
One product that I knew would be coming home with me the moment I layed my eyes on it was the Dreamy Chocolate Mint 3 in 1 by Temptations. Temptations is one of my favorite lines that Bath and Body Works carries. I knew by the name alone it would be a scent so delicious I'd want to pour it on top of some ice cream.
Dreamy Chocolate Mint is a 3 in 1...for those of you who don't know what that means, I feel sorry for you. 3 in 1 basically means that the product within the bottle can be used as a shampoo, bubble bath, or body wash. Get it? Got it? Good, go get some.
Scent:
Dreamy Chocolate Mint is just that. The scent reminds me of grasshopper cookies, or peppermint chocolate patties...or junior mints...or anything else that once could possibly think of when they smell something that is chocolate mint.
Temptations (as always) seriously managed to capture the essence of actual chocolate mints. It is such a realistic smell it is amazing. So good I want to lick it. So good I want to spread the word...so good I want to share it with friends.
Appearance:
This is the most snoring part of the review. Dreamy Chocolate Mint comes in a standard stand up bottle with the name of the product on the bottle. The bottle itself is a dark Christmas tree green with a realistic drawing of a mint on it. If you are in Bath and Body Works you can't miss it. They proudly display their winter scents in view the moment you walk into the door.
When Used As A Shampoo:
I couldn't wait to get my locks drenched in Dreamy Chocolate Mint. I have used Hot Chocolate by Temptations before, and the chocolate smell would last in my hair for nearly 2 days. I had a hunch that Dreamy Chocolate Mint would give the same results.
My hair was left a bit dry after rinsing the gel out. But the lather was thick, and it rinsed without leaving any gross residue behind. Hey did I mention I was smelling like a cup of deliciousness?
The actual result on dry hair was superb. My hairs condition was the same as it ever was; Dreamy Chocolate Mint didn't do anything when it came to shine or moisturization...but let me tell you what it did do. Dreamy Chocolate Mint left my locks smelling like a delicacy. So damn good I wanted to eat it. I could smell my hair with every step I took, if the wind picked up it was as if swirls of grasshopper cookies were dancing in front of my nose.
When Used As A Bubble Bath:
Most Temptation 3 in 1's suck as bubble baths, and I knew that Dreamy Chocolate Mint Would do the same.
Sure enough it did. I put in about 4 cap fulls of the gel, and got a small slew of bubbles. The bubbles sadly were not thick, and they fizzled out pretty fast. The water however was left smelling mint cookie-licious.
When Used As A Body Wash:
Dreamy Chocolate Mint did the job, and it did the job well. A small drop or so into my bath puff, and wallah, I had a nice thick lather to work with. Better than the lather though was the chocolate mint scent that my body was eating up.
Dreamy Chocolate Mint does not moisturize very well, but it also does not dry your skin out, so that is a plus. I did feel clean after using it as a body wash, but I wanted a bit more from it. What bummed me out most of all was that the scent was gone right after I dried off.
Overall:
For me Dreamy Chocolate Mint is best used as a shampoo, because the scent that I adore sticks with my strands, and I get to enjoy every minute of it till my next shower.
Although Dreamy Chocolate Mint failed in the bubble bath and body wash department, I would buy it again, only because the smell is very true and I love it.
Pricing:
You can pick up a 16 ounce bottle right now at any local Bath and Body Works for $12.00. I recommend waiting a bit till the end of season, the bottle is sure to hit shelves for $5.00 as the season comes closer to ending. I'm a junkie though, and once it's out, I have to have it. It's a bad, sick habit. I love it though. Oh yeah!
