Review of Bath and Body Works Temptations: Twisted Peppermint Body Lotion

Bath and Body Works surprised me this season by releasing winter scents nearly at the same time as they released their fall scents. Up on the chopping block this week is Temptations Twisted Peppermint.
I'm not 100% sure, but from what I hear, this scent is not new...it only makes a reappearance during the winter months. I guess I somehow missed this one last winter, because it is new to me.
I spotted it this weekend while window shopping in my towns local shopping center. On a shelf sat a new product that I had never seen before. The red and white stripes was what caught my eye, and I knew from first sight that this scent had something to do with Christmas.
On the shelves sat Twisted Peppermint. I had options...do I buy the lotion, or do I buy the 4 ounce 3 in 1 sampler? Ehh, or both?
Seeing how 3 in 1's don't have a long lasting scent on my skin, and my skin gets semi-dry during winter months I went with the body lotion.
The scent:
Oh glorious candy cane, how you melt my heart...really there is no other way to put it; Twisted Peppermint smells just like a freaking candy cane, period. It's extremely realistic to the real thing. Lip smackingly delicious!
Packaging:
Twisted Peppermint is pretty hard to miss. The bottle is clear with white lotion on the inside. The bottle itself had the name Twisted Peppermint written in red, with a photo of a small circular peppermint sucker.
The cap clicks up and is red.
Pricing:
The lotion comes to $8.00 for a 10 ounce bottle. It's not cheap, but it is also not expensive. When you smell it though, $8.00 will seem like a deal of a lifetime.
My Use:
I popped the click up cap and squeezed a half handful into my palms. I first applied to my legs, and then followed up with my stomach and arms. The scent was overwhelming...in a good, delicious, I want to lick myself way.
The lotion absorbs pretty fast, in within just a minute or so I was ready to put clothes on. Smelling myself was like smelling Christmas, and it put me in that holiday mind set...even though it is still October.
Moisturization:
Twisted Peppermint does provide some moisturization, but it does not last long. For those looking for moisturizing lotions, I would pass on this one. Twisted Peppermint is mainly for scent. Remember that before you go out, buy it, and complain in a review about the lack of moisturization...I warned you, so no whining.
Last:
The one thing I always want to know about scented lotions, is how long they last. How long will I smell like a candy cane? Most of us want our lotions to last all day, we want the scent to fill our nostrils for hours and hours, and most importantly, we want those around us to smell us, love us, and envy us.
Twisted Peppermint does a pretty good job at satisfying. The scent for me lasted nearly 4 hours. This is pretty freaking decent compared to other lotions out there. I apply once in the morning, (8am) and then again at around noon, that way I am guaranteed an all day candy cane fest.
Overall:
Temptations Twisted Peppermint Body Lotion is a winner in my opinion. I love the scent, I love how it absorbs quickly, and I enjoy the fact that the scent lasts for quite some time.
