Review of Sinful Colors, Nail Color, Pink #871

Lately I have been obsessed with 80's flashback neon nail colors. I came across a bottle by Jesse's Girl about 2 weeks ago, and as much as I loved the color, I hated that it seemed to chip and peel off pretty fast, even with an added topcoat for shine.

I came across another low priced nail polish brand just 2 days ago called Sinful Colors, and immediately the one color that stuck out the most in the collection of colors, was the blazing hot pink color, Pink #871.

The Color:

This pink is definitely a bright neon that screams for attention, with a deeper hot pink coloring than Jesse's Girl Baby Cakes.

This color seems to glow in sunlight, and it is definitely noticeable. If you have never used neon's, just give it a try, I think you will be surprised at how much you will fall in love with bright nail colors.

Application:

The nail polish itself dries fast, this is both good and bad.

I would have preferred a thicker brush though, because the brush on Sinful Colors, Pink #871 is pretty thin, and you have to work fast to cover one nail as it begins to dry fast, so applying it could end up chunky or messy if you are not fast with applying it. That's pretty much why I would have liked a thicker flat brush allowing me to get more color onto the nail faster.

The finish however is odd, but in a good way; it's a near matte finish, with very little shine to it. You could work it as is, with a non-shine finish, or you could apply a clear top coat to really amp up the shine. Personally I liked how they dried with 2 coats, and although some would call it pure matte, after 2 coats, it seemed more like a semi matte than a pure flat matte, which was different for me, and I liked it a lot just as it was.

The Last:

I have had Sinful Colors, Pink #871 on for 2 days now with no signs of wear or chipping, so naturally it will replace Jesse's Girl Baby Cakes.

Overall:

Beautiful trendy coloring to nails, no chipping or fading even without adding a top coat, and nails that demand attention. I like it, I like it a lot! I'd recommend this one to just about anyone.
