One of the first shampoos I tried in a box of freebies I was recently given, was Sharps Mission Control Conditioning Shampoo.
What drew my attention to the product was it's packaging. I had never
in my life seen such an odd; yet interesting bottle of shampoo. My first
initial thought was that this was a very old product that my uncle dug
up in his closet, and was just looking to get rid of. (The box of
freebies came from him).
Sharps Mission Control Conditioning Shampoo came in a cylinder shaped
stand up bottle, with a brown sticker on the bottle. On the sticker was a
black and white photo of a man wearing an old space helmet.
The bottle itself was rather small, and at first I thought that the
shampoo was actually some sort of hair glosser. I was wrong though.
I popped the pop up cap and took a sniff of Sharps Mission Control
Conditioning Shampoo. It smelled like mint, candy cane even. I had
smelled similar shampoos before, and I knew right away that with this
minty smell, I was sure to get that tingle feeling on my scalp while
using Sharps Mission Control Conditioning Shampoo.
My Use:
In the shower I applied a half handful to my scalp and began to work
up a lather. The mint scent actually opened up my nasal passages and I
actually enjoyed it. Really I don't enjoy minty shampoos only because
most of them are just too over bearing. Sharps Mission Control
Conditioning Shampoo was light, yet easily detected. Plus, it smelled
more like candy canes, than it did a kung pow mint! (The kind of mint
shampoos that come with a sickening kick).
Sharps Mission Control Conditioning Shampoo began to lightly tingle my scalp, and the feeling was pretty refreshing.
After rinsing Sharps Mission Control Conditioning Shampoo out though
my hair was left feeling pretty dry. Although Sharps Mission Control
Conditioning Shampoo is supposedly a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner, I had
to follow up with conditioner. The whole 2 in 1 thing never leaves my
hair type with nice results.
So...I of course followed up with conditioner.
I knew that a conditioner would take care of this dry feeling.
Results:
After stepping out of the shower my hair did not feel much different
than it would using any other ordinary ol' shampoo. There was a nice
candy cane scent though left behind that managed to rid my hair of the
smell of my conditioner, so I had to give it props there.
Results On Dry Hair:
After showering I always let my hair air dry. The less heat and hair tools I can use, the better my hairs condition.
Now remember before when I said that Sharps Mission Control
Conditioning Shampoo didn't do much for me after stepping out of the
shower?
Well I can say that it did do something quite spectacular as my hair
was drying off. Sharps Mission Control Conditioning Shampoo actually
managed to keep my frizz at bay. Not many shampoos have the power to do
that type of work to my hair type.
Overall:
Sharps Mission Control Conditioning Shampoo is a decent product when
used with conditioner afterward. If you have light thin hair though you
can skip on using conditioner afterward. I however need to use it
afterward. 2 in 1's never do anything for me when it comes to
moisturizing.
I really have nothing bad to say about Sharps Mission Control
Conditioning Shampoo. It leaves behind a light candy cane fragrance, and
keeps frizz away.
Pricing:
Sharps Mission Control Conditioning Shampoo came in an 8.5 ounce
bottle, and will cost you around $12.00. I do not know if they sell it
in larger bottles.
