L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color #04 Passionate

Oh my bloody, bloody Valentine...

That was the first thing that came to mind when thinking about L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color #04.

To be honest this product is likely something I wouldn't buy with my own money. I've never been a fan of things on my lips. I was actually given L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color in color #4 Passionate, and there was no way in heck I was going to not try it, even though I found the color to be a bit... much.

What Is It?

Simply put, it is lip color. This particular lip color, #04 Passionate, has got to be by far the reddest red I have ever come across when it comes to lip color. It reminds me of blood, from the texture to the color, there is no denying it. Blood in a tube.

L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color comes in a standard plastic tube, the cap twists off revealing a sponge applicator wand for precise application. The applicator comes out of the tube covered in the lip color- tah da! All in all, it's your common standard basic lip gloss tube. Nothing special here.

My Use:

I dabbed a small amount of L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color onto my lips and used the sponge wand to spread it around evenly. The texture reminded me of lip gloss more than it did a creamy lipstick, or lip color. I would compare L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color more to a lip stain, gloss or even a balm then I would a lipstick or lip color.

Immediately I felt L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color's texture and hated it. The wand nearly wanted to stick to my lips along with the color. Not only was the sticky factor noticed, but I also noted the slimy unnatural feeling it left behind on my lips.

L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color has no official flavor associated to it, but it does leave that old lady lipstick flavoring in your mouth if you happen to get it in your moth. You know the flavor I'm talking about? You come across an old lipstick in your drawer, try it on and realize it's aged and has this nasty moth ball like flavor to it. I like to call it the 'Granny Lipstick Flavor'.

The color Passionate indeed looks like shiny dripping blood on my lips, and not only did it look terrible, but it felt that way too.

Now had this felt good on lips, the color may of been one I would recommend to those who love reddest red lips, but seeing how it feels so utterly gross on your lips, I'm going to recommend that you skip on L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color entirely.

Overall:

Nasty! L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color feels like slime and glue on your lips.

L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Lip Color is normally sold for around $10.00. This particular color though must be rare, because some are selling it on ebay in the $20.00 range. It is not even dollar store worthy.

Nope!
