This week I happened to stumble upon what I consider a beauty divas
goldmine! You see Soap & Glory has added a slew of brand new
products to their collection of already wonderful products.
One of those products is the newest Soap & Glory Fab Pore.
When I spotted it I grabbed up 2 of the tubs; one for me, and one for
my best friend who is also a hardcore fan of the Soap & Glory line.
Fab Pore comes packaged in a thin little cardboard package that is of
course, pink in color. The box itself has a retro black and white
photograph of a young woman who has relatively flawless skin! What makes
the Soap & Glory line so attractive to me (besides the actual
product) is the way they package their things. The retro photos make
them stick out, and frankly impossible to miss in stores.
Directions:
According to the box, you are to smear the face mask on to your face
and massage into your skin until all of the green beads are dissolved.
You can keep it on for 5 minutes for a quick refreshing cleanse, or
longer for a deep do it yourself facial.
The results of course are supposed to shrink your large pores!
Scent:
I unscrewed the lid, and took a sniff. I was expecting it to smell
like the original Soap & Glory formula which is soft, feminine and
powdery. Fab Pores however has a much more striking scent of mint and
cream. It reminds me a lot of the scent that many of their Soap &
Glory Spa products have.
My Use:
I did not waste any time. After unscrewing the lid, I scooped out some
of the cream which has a very soft and silky texture to it. I then
spread it all around my skin. I did feel the green beads in the formula,
and they easily dissolved into my skin as I spread it around my face.
The scent was a little intense, but as soon as it all dried on my face
the scent died down slightly making it easier to inhale.
The formula left my face feeling cool and dry as it dried, but not
tight, which I liked. I do not like when masks leave my face feeling
tight, because usually the result is dry flaky skin. I was hoping this
would not be the case with Fab Pore.
I let the formula sit on my face for up to 15 minutes, and then I rinsed it off with warm water.
The Result:
My larger pores were still visible of course, I was not expecting to
see instant results. After using it for a few days though I will say
that pores look tighter.
Anyhow, when I rinsed it off my skin felt softer, and very clean. It
did however feel a little dry, which was expected. A quick moisturizer
to my face though and all was well.
Overall:
It seems to be working just fine. Although I have used other pore
shrinking products that work a little better, I do enjoy giving myself a
full facial from time to time, and having Soap & Glory Fab Pore on
hand is definitely a pampering treat!
The downside is that there is only 1.6 ounces of the formula in the
plastic jug. I mean there is plenty of formula in there for many uses,
but it does not last very long considering you use a lot to cover the
entire face. I imagine I will get 2 treatments per week out of it, for
up to 8 weeks. A 2 month supply basically.
The price of Fab Pore is also a little high, at $12.99, which is steep
for a facial mask. You can find it exclusively at Target stores, or on
Amazon. Click to view.
