My cousin, who is also my best friend, already knows that I have a hard
time falling asleep at night.
I've suffered from insomnia for years, and
whenever I find a new method that seems to work, over time my body gets
used to it, thus rendering the product useless. Dang body tolerances.
It's nice though when others consider you, and give you things that
they think may help aid in the journey to a good nights sleep.
My birthday passed this May, and my cousin made me this huge basket of
goodies. Inside the basket, the one thing that I was attracted to most,
was a 3 ounce plastic spray bottle labeled,Earth Therapeutics Anti-Stress Pillow Mist.
Immediately I was interested in exactly what this spray would do. The
directions were pretty self explanatory. Spray it on your pillow- duh!
The bottle basically promised that by spraying it on my pillow, I
would enjoy a soothing and restful nights sleep. The spray has chamomile
and lavender in it which supposedly will aid me into sleep. A form of
sleep therapy I suppose.
I highly doubted the product before even trying it out for size. I
figured I'd give it a try anyway, and base my decision on it from there.
Aromatherapy works for me in the shower when I use certain scented soaps... so why not a scented pillow?
My Use:
I sprayed around 5 shots of Earth Therapeutics Anti-Stress Pillow Mist
onto my pillow and inhaled the fragrance. It smelled like herbs. It
wasn't a lovely scent that one would fall for the moment they smelled
it, but it was a calming one. It smelled like dried out flowers and a
hint of something spicy that tickles the senses.
I liked the spray bottles pump nozzle, which sprayed out the liquid in a very fine mist and was easy to press down.
All in all, I imagine this particular scent could indeed help me get to sleep, or at least rest easier.
I began to thoroughly enjoy the scent, and the calming effect it gave
off, however a giant issue arose.
The scent vanished no less than 5
minutes after spraying it onto my pillow, leaving not a trace of
relaxing fragrances behind for me to inhale as I tried to get to sleep. Fooey!
Overall:
Earth Therapeutics Anti-Stress Pillow Mist was a very disappointing
product. It annoyed me because I felt that if the scent did last on my
pillow, it would have actually helped somewhat. The scent though was
gone so quickly, I proclaim Earth Therapeutics Anti-Stress Pillow Mist
useless.
Where To Buy:
I imagine she picked Earth Therapeutics Anti-Stress Pillow Mist up at
our local Ulta store, because I wasn't able to locate it online really
anywhere else besides Ebay.
It is sold at Ulta, and Ulta.com for $7.20. I recommend you skip though, it's not even worth a dollar.
