Review of Jesse's Girl Liquid Glass Lip Gloss in Blanc

Whenever I stop into my local Rite Aide I am always drawn to the makeup selections they have available, and around 2 months ago I became a fan of Jesse's Girl Liquid Crystal Glosses, so it was no wonder that I would find myself, once again, seeking out whatever else this cosmetic company had to offer.

Immediately I was drawn to their Liquid Glass Lip Glosses, and fell in love with the color Blanc, which when swiped on my hand appeared to deliver just that. A shimmering world of crystal ice, and frankly I figured it would look wonderful on top of my lip color.

$3.99 later, I walked out happily with my new find. I hoped it worked well, and that it lasted. The problem I had with their Liquid Crystal line was that it did not last long, and I hoped their standard gloss, or glass glosses would last longer.

My Use:

I first wanted to test Blanc out alone on dry lips to see how it did as far as adding moisture, shimmer, and color.

When used also Liquid Glass looked really shiny and pretty, but the texture of this lip gloss was something else. It had a weird texture that was both drying and cooling at the same time, with a silky like feel that I didn't really like.

Besides the uncomfortable silk like texture, the gloss did not last long on my lips when worn alone. I can't lie, I was disappointed.

I next tried Blanc on top of my standard pink lipstick to see if it would maybe work better.
Unfortunately the results were the same. It added a nice shimmer to my lips, but the odd silk texture just about stripped the pink color from my lips, leaving nothing behind.

Overall:

This was probably one of the first products in Jesse's Girl cosmetics that I was not too thrilled about. I hated the texture, and despised the fact that it would strip my lip color away leaving nothing behind just moments later. Now it would work, if I did not move my lips or talk at all, but who the heck is going to to such lengths just to get their gloss to stay put?

I would sadly suggest skipping on this one. So close! I hope they re-do this one and make the formula longer lasting and without this odd silky texture it leaves behind.
