I have been styling my hair in curls lately as it is the fastest and
easiest style for my hair type to maintain. However once in a while I
like changing things up and straightening my hair. Straight or curly
though, frizz has always been an annoying little issue I have had to
deal with time and time again.
When I came across a tube of John Frieda Frizz Ease, Straight Fixation Smoothing Creme,
I went ahead and bought it, as it promised to keep frizz away, while
leaving the hair straight and sleek. The creme also promised to protect
the hair against heat. It says to put the creme in dampened hair then
blow dry.
My hair and blow dryers do not get along, and no matter what the
product promises I end up with frizz, so I knew better than to even try
to use the creme that way. Instead I let the hair air dry a bit, then I
just used my hair straightener.
The creme itself smells nice, and has that same fresh scent that
nearly all John Frieda Frizz Ease products have. It's a light fresh
scent, but nothing sticks out as far as florals or food notes of
fragrance.
The creme itself is also nice, and absorbs fast into the hair, leaving
behind no thick residue or greasy feeling. It was as if my hair just
gobbled it up and burped. I didn't mind, I hate leave in serums or
cremes that leave behind a texture to my hair, so I was glad this one
didn't.
As far as results go, I would have to say that my hair was a lot
shinier, and much healthier feeling than usual when I straighten the
hair. I knew that John Frieda Frizz Ease, Straight Fixation Smoothing
Creme played a role in the overall results.
I had no frizz at all, I was left with clean, shiny, frizz free, and
manageable hair. This stuff really worked, and it worked well.
Now seeing that it worked so wonderfully at keeping away frizz on
straight hair, I decided to try this one before curing my hair the
following day.
I used it exactly as I did the day before, by adding some into damp
hair, and then brushing it through the hair for even coverage.
Next I simply added gel and scrunched my hair to get some curls worked
in. After that I just allowed it to air dry. Curls naturally formed,
and thankfully frizz was not as present and obvious as it normally would
be. Granted I still had some flyaway, I truly loved the results, and
how it worked better than any other smoothing creme I have ever used.
It however was short lived, and I had to apply the creme again by the
end of the day to tame down frizz that popped up. It worked well enough
though, even on dry hair, so it's really a win/win for me.
If you are searching for a creme to keep frizz away, definitely give
John Frieda Frizz Ease, Straight Fixation Smoothing Creme a try.
