Review of Nicole OPI Nail Polish, Gone Wishin'

I know many of you, like myself, have purchased glittery nail polish only to discover that the glitter barely even shows up on nails, let alone makes its way onto the polish brush and out of the bottle. Most nail polish with glitter usually has the same issue; the glitter sinks to the bottom of the bottle, or flakes off of nails pretty quickly.

When I came across Gone Wishin' Nicole, by OPI nail polish I truly hoped that this would not be the case, because the color of this nail polish was simply stunning.

The color of Gone Wishin will catch your eye immediately, it has a deep royal purple color that is the overall base color, with gorgeous flecks of purple and blue micro-fine flecks of glitter. I prayed this glitter would stick to my nails, because this color was hot, trendy, and so beautiful.

My Use:

I tried out Gone Wishin in 2 different ways; alone, and as a top coat to a purple metallic polish by Nicole.

Alone the color works out wonderfully. The glitter does in fact stick to the brush and easily make its way onto your nails. What I especially liked was how quickly the polish dried, allowing me to add one last final coating of the polish. The results were exactly what I was hoping for; a nail covered it shining glittery shimmer of purple and blue hues. Basically when used alone, Gone Wishin' will dress to impress.

When put on top of regular nail polish, the result is the same. I did a purple base, and then added Gone Wishin', and the results were fantastic. I imagine playing with this nail color with other nail colors could give some really odd, yet beautiful results.

Last:

Now the color is great, the shine is phenomenal, but as far as last goes, Gone Wishin' is pretty short lived. It does leave behind a bumpy texture on your nails which at times may snag clothes, causing the polish to peel off of your nail. Adding a clear top coat to this nail polish would help prolong the life of it though.

Overall:

I still recommend Gone Wishin' simply because it is beautiful on the nail, and adds such a bold and bright coloring to them. They are attention seekers, and believe me when your nails look this shiny and good, they do manage to catch the attention of others.
