Review of Space Girl Bath Bomb by Lush

I love collecting up Lush goodies for the fall. During summer months it is too hot to even want to take a bath, so all summer long I will collect Lush bathing goods and have myself a bathing ball every fall season.

Luckily for me, my dear other half brought me back a bunch of Lush goodies; stuff that I was not even aware they had. I was going to wait till October to get around to using the things he brought me back, but we had a chilly night last week, and I figured a warm bath with my new Lush products would be a perfect fix for the cool night.

I decided to use Space Girl, one of their newest bath bombs, which has a really neat shape to it, like Saturn, and it is probably one of the neatest shapes Lush has offered thus far.

The bath bomb when delivered to me had a pretty purple coloring to it with a milky white mix running through it. The flecks of glitter on the top of the bomb added a neat starry cosmic effect to the bath bomb which I thought was a cute little extra. Lush always manages to add cute little extras in just about all of their products.

The scent out of the water smelled pretty bland though, it was recognizably sweet however, and reminded me of grape pixie stix. A powdery candy scent, which I hoped would flood the bathroom. Lush has this magic about them where the product may smell bland outside of water, and then kick into full nose flooding effect once it hits the water. I hoped that this was the case with Space Girl Bath Bomb.

My Use:

After running a bath and getting in, I plopped in Space Girl. The bath bomb surprisingly fizzed out really quickly, probably faster than any of their bath bombs I had ever used.

No traces of the glitter was found in the water, but I knew it was there. The water itself felt soft and silky, which I loved. The color however was like a purple charcoal gray, which some may be appalled by because it made the water look dirty. For me though, I did not mind because it reminded me of a lush mineral bath at a spa, so I was OK with the dusty looking coloring.

The scent however was nowhere to be found, even placing my face up close to the water and inhaling, still there was nothing.

Overall:

I'd give this one 3 out of 5 stars. I liked how it left my skin feeling soft and silky, even out of the tub, and I liked the interesting color mix it had going on in the water. Now if the scent would have just been stronger I would have found this one to be close to perfect.

Due to the fact that it is soothing to the skin, I'd still buy it again, as it is low priced, and gives you that spa treatment feeling.
