About a month ago I came across a clever line of new shampoo and conditioning hair care products called Vitamin Conditioner.
I believe this line is made by the Vitamin Water line, considering the
text and actual bottles appearance is very similar to the actual drink.
Although the line seemed more like a trend than a product that would
work, I bought is due to the fact that I could mail in the receipt, and
get a full refund from the company.
I had a few selections to go through, but I went with Vitamin Conditioner Mangosteen Yogurt (Smoothing) because during summer months when the humidity is high, I look for ways to smooth out frizz.
Vitamin Conditioner Mangosteen Yogurt comes in a 13 ounce
yellow plastic bottle, with a cute memorable logo on it. After clicking
up the cap and giving it a sniff I was happy with the low key citrus
scent. The conditioner itself was also a light orange color.
I figured if it didn't combat frizz, at least it would make my hair smell summery.
My Use:
At home after shampooing, I squeezed out a decent portion of the
conditioner and ran it through my wet locks. I was a little disappointed
in how runny the conditioner was. My hair type is thick, and wavy, and
usually it reacts best with conditioner that is slightly on the thicker
side.
I let the conditioner sit in for about 3 minutes, and rinsed. The
first thing I noticed after rinsing is that my hair still felt
relatively dry. Usually my hair is soft, silky, and very moisturized
after conditioning, so I was disappointed to see that my hair felt dry.
Results:
As I imagined my hair felt dry after rinsing, and felt dry after it
air dried. There was no smoothing of my hair that I could tell, and the
citrus scent was also gone.
Overall:
Vitamin Conditioner Mangosteen Yogurt is one to skip. The asking price
is $6.99, which is mid-range. The price that should actually be slapped
on to this one though is $1.00. It seems I spent the other $5.00 on the
cute logo.
Hmph!
