Beauty Review: Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub

Whenever I run low on facial scrubs, I buy new ones. I find that switching things up at times can actually lead to even better results, than sticking with the same one day after day. My most recent purchase was Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub. It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub is used for. For those of you though who are curious, it's a scrub that promises to shrink your pores. When pores are small, the appearance of your skin is tighter and looks healthier, younger, and fresh. Large pores are our enemy!!!

Appearance:

Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub can be found in nearly any superstore. I picked up the 5 ounce bottle for $8.24 at my local Target.

Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub is not all that easy to spot because it comes in a relatively bland white tube, with nothing really eye popping on it to allow it to stick out and catch the eye.

The cap though allows it to slightly stick out amongst the rest seeing that it has a high gloss glass like finish that makes it look like a silver finished mirror.

I especially love the cap though because you do not have to remove it. It is one of those simple twist, and click open caps.

My Use:

I personally only stick to facial washes that contain micro-beads, because it washes away impurities, and slightly exfoliates the skin without irritating it. Micro-beads also wash away all traces of makeup saving me a load of money on makeup removal pads.

Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub contains gentle micro crystals for an exfoliating rinse.

When I got around to trying the Scrub though, I was a little disappointed at how little were actually in the formula.

I am used to scrubs containing a load of micro-beads, but Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub was pretty scarce when it came to providing a decent amount of micro-crystals.

I squeezed some of the formula into my hands, and went to work on my face. The formula itself has an odd antique coloring to it. It has a fresh scent that I liked, but it didn't stick out as anything wonderful. It was just nice; nothing really to write home about.

Before scrubbing Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub into my face, I first wet my skin to allow spreading of the formula to work easier.

The lather worked up rather quickly, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it a 'foaming lather'. The lather did leave my skin feeling very soft and silky though as Ii scrubbed it around my face.

The micro-crystals were obvious, but as stated earlier, they don't really work at exfoliating quite as well as other scrubs that contain a lot more micro-beads.

All in all, using Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub does not feel like anything special. But the after results are what sets this one apart from all others.

Results:

Normally when I use any scrubs, my face feels clean after using them, but at the same time my face also feels dry, and I need to follow up with a moisturizing lotion.

With Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub I didn't have to. This scrub left my face feeling soft, and silky after using it. Once my skin dried though, it wasn't left feeling tight or parched. It was left feeling extremely clean, very fresh, and moisturized!

Not many scrubs are capable of adding moisturization to the skin after scrubbing with them, and Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub pleasantly surprised me.

While washing my face with it, I thought I was going to be disappointed, but low and behold, Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub left me with soft skin, and a smile on my face.

I'd highly recommend this one to those looking for a good scrub, that leaves your skin feeling healthy, natural, and moisturized.
