Last weeks Glamour magazine contained a slew of free perfume samples,
and I seriously only buy this magazine for these samples, and of course
to see whats new in the makeup department.
Once I browse through and tear out pages of 'must have's' I pass the
book along to my dear mom. I thought she was going to go wild over the
limited edition of DK Cashmere Mist the way I did, instead though she
yanked out the sample of Armani Acqua Di Gioia, Perfume for Women, and ended up coming home with it a few days later.
I personally thought the perfume was just OK, not anything special
enough for me to run out seeking the bottle, my mom on the other hand
fell in love with it.
Scent:
Armani Acqua Di Gioia, Perfume for Women has a very nice and fresh
aquatic zing to it, which I have smelled a trillion times before. I
suppose that's why it did not stick out as anything special to me. It
smells watery, fresh, and it is long lasting, but the fragrance just
reminded me too much of Cool Waters, which smells great, but the aqua
scent to me is so generic and overdone, that I get sick of smelling
them.
Armani Acqua Di Gioia, Perfume for Women has a little something floral
about it as well, but the florals do not really scream for much
attention as they are weakened by the watery dew scent that it initially
gives off.
For those of you whom think you would enjoy yet another water field
type fragrance than you will enjoy this one because it is long lasting,
and you will be able to detect it on you for quite some time after
spraying it.
Overall:
Long last, a good scent (yet over done), and yes I would recommend it
to those who enjoy such scents. For those of you whom are sick of the
dewy aquatic fragrances though, you won't find this one very impressive,
so I'd suggest skipping out on it.
