I do not usually wear fake eyelashes, but when a formal event popped up I
figured why not. I do not have long lashes of my own, and I figured
some fake lashes would fill them out a little bit.
In the past I had used full eyelashes and all that did was annoy me,
so I wanted to find lashes that glued more toward the sides of my
lashes, extending them outward.
I found a pair of lashes by Ardell, called Ardell Accents Lashes (305).
These were perfect for me because they looked lightweight, and natural,
and they were meant to add lashes right where I wanted them, which were
the outer sides.
I studied the package they came in, and it appeared that these lashes
did not come with any adhesive, which I have to admit, angered me. Had I
not looked closely I would have bought them, and had no means to
sticking them to my eyes. Ardell shouldn't be so frigging cheap, they
should have included a small tube of adhesive. Instead I had to spend
another 4 or 5 dollars on an adhesive glue.
So take note of that ladies, you will need to buy your own adhesive glue if you plan on using these eye lashes.
Application.
Peeling the eye lashes off was just like peeling of any fake lash. It
contains a strip of clear adhesive tape that you have to slowly peel
away from the plastic packaging the lashes are stuck on. They are on
there pretty good, so take your time, otherwise you could rip the
lashes, rendering them useless.
The adhesive tape on the lashes was rather sticky, but I knew from
past experiences that this adhesive would not hold up all day, so the
glue was necessary.
I applied a thin layer to the lashes glue line, and slowly worked them
onto my eyelid where I wanted to place them. It truly worked
flawlessly. I simply had to wait for the glue to dry and do the next
eye. Once the glue dried I was easily able to apply my eye makeup
without any problems.
Overall:
They looked stunning and natural. They stood on my eyes all day and
night without any discomfort at all. If you are looking for a quick and
easy solution to making your lashes look longer at the sides, then go
for these. Buy your own adhesive glue though.
