Getting Shiny Hair Has Never Been Easier

As a child shiny hair came with the package of being young. I didn't have to do anything to achieve shiny locks of hair. All I did was hop into the tub, and take my usual bath, and voila gorgeous shimmering locks of lusciousness.

However it seems the older I grew, the harder it was to achieve shiny hair. It seemed that my hair got duller with age! Gone were the days when I could just hop into a bubble bath and have radiant glowing hair. Gone were those glorious days.

Over the years though as my hair grew dull, I also grew smarter. Although I had tons of trials and errors with awful products that promised me shiny hair, and delivered nothing but greasy locks; some things I have come across in my time actually work, and they work quite well.

One of the easiest ways to achieve shiny hair is actually also one of the nastiest means to achieving it. If you are not up for urine in the hair, then by all means don't do it, but if you are looking for an absolutely free sure trick to getting shiny healthy looking hair, than by all means do use your own urine in your hair. I know, it's disgusting, but it's said to work wonders.

Now for those of you who are not up for the all natural, free treatment to shiny hair, I have a few things that you may want to try instead of the above.

The first product is by far the easiest product to find. A hair glosser has always done the trick well for me. You have to however be very careful when using glossers, because if you use too much you'll end up with weighed down, greasy, dirty looking hair. It will shine, but it will shine in a way that is not glamorous.

Some of my favorite glossers include Marc Anthony's Diamond Shine Finishing Glosser, Alba
Botanica Brilliant Shine Gloss Serum, and/or Straight Sexy Hair Shine On Polish Gloss.

Glossers are always a bit pricey, but the thing that makes them worth their price is that you honestly only need to use a very small pea sized dab for results to shine through.

Like I said though, you have to be careful with glossers though because use to much, and you'll end up looking like a greasy wet rat. My hair in particular is extremely thick, and I only need a very small dab of glosser for results. I also make sure I never apply it too close to roots. I find that running it through the length of my hair works the best.

Besides glossing sprays though, there are also some really excellent shampoos and conditioners you can use in your hair for shiny results. I however recommend that you use these shining shampoo and conditioners in addition to a glosser. Use less glosser though! One shampoo that I'm particularly fond of is L'Oreals Professional Shine Wave shampoo. It is made for those with color treated or permed hair, but even if you don't have colored or permed hair, this stuff adds some mega shine. The downside though is that one bottle is a bit pricey at lose to $30.00. Click to view.

My favorite high shine shampoo and conditioners include Pantene Ice. This shampoo or conditioner can be found at any local Walmart for a mere $4.00.

Although using it alone does not do magical wonders, using it and then using a glosser after the fact boosts the radiance amplitude up quite a bit.

Another quick way to achieving shiny hair is by using something that is not even designed for hair. I actually have time and time again used body shimmer lotion in my dry hair for a really nice boost of natural looking shine. The absolute best quick shine fixes come from any Bath and Body Works Silk Body Lotions.

The best thing about this is the fact that your hair also gets a nice douse of long lasting delicious fragrance. There are many fragrances to choose in the shimmer lotions, so pick whichever you'd like.

The last product that I find to be quite useful when it comes to adding shine to your locks is John Frieda's Color Glaze. The best thing about Color Glaze is that it is made for many different hair colors.
The only thing I don't really like about Color Glaze though is that it leaves hair feeling slightly dry after using it. I recommend using a moisturizing conditioner after applying Color Glaze.

If you keep up with boosting the shine in your hair, the routine is less tedious, and you will not need to use as many products as often to keep your hair looking shiny.

Shine away girls! Shine like never before!
