Just about every girl who has bought a tube of mascara knows that most
of those fabulous promises for long thick eyelashes is nothing more than
an empty promise. Disappointment in an expensive bottle.
I eventually just gave up, and never really enjoyed the added weight
to my eyelids; oh that and the fact that most mascaras just cake up my
eyelids, and there is no noticeable difference in length whatsoever.
I did however, over the course of my life realize that I could easily
give off the illusion of longer eyelashes, and doing so is really
simple. Adding the illusion of length to your eyelashes can be done with
a quick push of a simple tool; an eyelash curler!
Not all curlers however are created equally. I have come across my
fair share of them, and many of those high end, high priced plastic
curlers do more harm than good. I'm talking about them ripping my
eyelashes right out of their roots.
That can all be avoided though if you make sure to change the small
rubber lip inside of the eyelash curler. If you do not clean it, small
tears in the rubber can trap lashes and rip them out when you release on
the tool.
For longer thicker lashes, use a basic eyelash curling tool. The best
way to get lashes looking really long and thick is to actually apply
mascara first. Wait for the mascara to dry, and then use the eyelash
curler on them.
If you apply mascara after curling them with the curler, weight of the
mascara will cause them to weigh down over a short period of time. You
could also mess up applying the mascara more easily as well. So paint
them first, and then curl them up.
I do not have thick full lashes, but whenever I use an eyelash curler,
you'd never guess it. I do not even have to wear mascara if I use a
curler.
