The moment I saw the famous name Jack Black on Jack Black Double-Duty
Face Moisturizer, SPF 20 I thought of the chubby funny guy from Shallow
Hal. Now I'm not 100% sure if he is in any way associated with this
moisturizer, but it was cool nonetheless.
Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20 came packaged in a dark
blue plastic bottle, it appears to be a package that would be more
geared at men, but hey, I used it regardless.
The bottle itself has a pretty basic black push down nozzle at the
top, which is also protected by a clear removable cap that I like
because if you keep it on the nozzle, you do not have to worry about the
lotion pumping itself out in your purse or bag when taking it along
with you.
Scent:
Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20 has a scent that I have
smelled before, and the best way to describe it would be to call it
'hotel lotion'. It's rather bland; nothing special, nor disgusting.
The moisturizer itself is an off white color, with a thick texture to
it. When I first realized how thick it was I thought that it would be
horrible when it came to absorbing into my skin. I also thought it would
leave behind a greasy thick texture on my face.
The Promise:
Unfortunately the promise on the bottle is very vague. Basically ALL
it says is that Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20 is a daily
sunscreen and advanced moisturizer.
Yeah. Vague.
My Use:
Well my thoughts were all wrong. Jack Black Double-Duty Face
Moisturizer SPF20 goes on easily, absorbs quickly, and it does not leave
behind any feeling of residue, or grease.
Normally I have combination oily/dry skin, but with a recent cold, my
skin for some reason decided to crumble up like dry-lands. My nose has
dry spots, my forehead and even my cheeks (and that's rare).
I hoped Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20 would provide
some sort of relief, because the dry feeling was also a little bit
painful making my skin feel tight.
I applied Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20 and very
quickly the tight dry feeling vanished, however as soon as the
moisturizer fully absorbed into my skin, I could still see very present
spots of dry skin still on my face.
No less than an hour later my skin felt very dry and tight again. I
applied some more Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20, and
hoped that with continuous use throughout the day it would eventually
have some sort of beneficial impact on my skin overall.
Another hour goes by, and the results are the same. Overall I think I
applied Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20 about 6 times
throughout the day, hoping that with each use there would be an
improvement, and eventually I hoped I would no longer have to apply it
every hour. This want though was never achieved. Jack Black Double-Duty
Face Moisturizer SPF20 seems to only work in one hour intervals, and as
soon as the our is up, I found myself having to re-apply.
Pricing and Availability:
My uncle actually gave me this one in a recent pile of goods he
brought down from the city. I have no idea where he got it, or what it
cost, but for the most part most things he gives me are given to him by
friends and clients.
With that said though, I was able to locate quite a few online vendors
selling Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20. The price varies
anywhere from $22.00 to $27.00

Overall:
Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20 is decent because
it does relieve the dry feeling on your face, but it only does so for
an hour, forcing you to re-apply. I would have truly loved Jack Black
Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20 if the moisturizing effects would
have lasted longer.
I would recommend it for temporary relief though, because after applying, your skin will feel 100% better.
I'd slap a fair 3 out of 5 star rating on to Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF20.
