John Frieda, Weather Works Weather-Proofing Daily Conditioner: Review

After being sent 3 free samples of the newest John Frieda collection, Weather Proofing I was more than excited to give all 3 products a try. I have already posted an online review about how I felt about the shampoo... so naturally I had to move on and post one about it's sister conditioner; John Frieda, Weather Works Weather-Proofing Daily Conditioner.

My Use:

After rinsing with the shampoo and having it feel like silk, I next moved on to using the conditioner. I ripped open the sample pack, squeezed out the entirety of the conditioner into my hand, and got to working it into my hair.

The conditioner itself is white, nothing special or remarkable here. The scent like the shampoo is also slightly disappointing due to the fact that it has such a weak and mild scent that you can barely detect it.

I much more prefer conditioners that have a strong scent, one that I know will last within my hair for a day or so.

John Frieda, Weather Works Weather-Proofing Daily Conditioner is so mild when it comes to scent that I doubted it would leave any scent behind at all. All in all it is a very very subtle scent of fresh linen.

Now the promise associated with John Frieda, Weather Works Weather-Proofing Daily Conditioner was that it would protect my hair from all types of weather. Seeing how at the time we were facing severe thunderstorms, humidity, and tons of rain my hair was puffy, knotty, frizzy and unmanageable. I figured with John Frieda, Weather Works Weather-Proofing Daily Conditioner's promise it would bring relief to my bad hair day.

I let my hair air dry and as it did I watched as it got uncontrollably frizzy, puffy, and knotty. Worse than before.

All in all the promise from John Frieda's new product sucked for me. It not only made my hair feel worse, but it looked worse as well. It was like a huge mistake for my hair type, which is thick and wavy... and I mean very thick. Adding this conditioner left my hair even thicker.

I do think that John Frieda, Weather Works Weather-Proofing Daily Conditioner would be good for those with thin fine hair looking for some bounce, because by George, it gives you bounce- but in a puffy kind of way.

Overall:

For me John Frieda, Weather Works Weather-Proofing Daily Conditioner is a bust.

Recommended:

Like the shampoo, it's going to be a no. I haven't had my hair this frizzy and puffy in a long time; John Frieda, Weather Works Weather-Proofing Daily Conditioner brought back some memories of the way my hair was in Junior high, bug, puffy, and scuzzy looking. Haha.
