L'Occitane Verbena Body Lotion Review

What can I say about L'Occitane Verbena Body Lotion?

Oh I know...

HATED IT!!!!

This gross grub was given to me for Christmas, and this morning I finally got around to using it.

It is described as having a citrus aroma, that will absorb into skin, and it supposed to help relieve tight, dry, itchy skin. It is supposed to be used primarily after showering; when skin is at its driest, or tightest.
This morning I decided to hop into the shower, and after I was finished showering I squeezed out a decent amount of the body lotion into my palms, and went to work on my body.

The lotion itself has a semi thick consistency, and is white in color. The bottle itself is made of thick plastic, and it is a bit hard to squeeze the lotion out unless you have the hands of Hercules. I imagine that when this lotion is nearly empty, it will be close to impossible to squeeze out the last of it.

Anyhow, it spread easily on my skin, and the scent hit me pretty quickly. To me it smells like lime and sulfur. It would have been an attractive scent, had the scent of fart like sulfur not been so obvious and disgusting.

I hoped the scent would just vanish as soon as the lotion absorbed, but it didn't, and speaking of absorbing- it took forever!

I had a greasy slimy texture left behind on my skin that I absolutely hated! I tried wiping the residue off with a towel, but it didn't do any justice. I had to wait a good 15 minutes for the nasty icky feeling to finally evaporate off of my skin.

As far as making my skin feel soft, and moisturized, L'Occitane Verbena Body Lotion didn't go very far. My skin was left feeling primarily greasy and slick. A feeling I didn't fancy at all.

Overall:

Skip it, skip it, dooo wop, wopin and a dooo wop wop.

L'Occitane Verbena Body Lotion is gross. There is really no other way to put it. It's like greasy farts in a plastic tub labeled lotion. It takes forever to absorb, and it does nothing beneficial to my skin but make it smell funky.

This lotion also comes to around $22.00 for an 8.4 ounce bottle. It's way over priced for what you are getting, which in my opinion is a mess in bottle.
