Lush: Temple of Truth Bubble Bar Review

I am a Lush addict. I need AA for Lush. It is my belief that Lush should hire me to test all of their products before they release them. (It's wishful thinking, I'd just love some free Lush stuff. I mean hell, I've provided them with over 50 or 60 unbiased reviews!)

Anyhow, this past holiday I was given a $200 limit to spend on Lush.com. I went absolutely crazy and ordered everything and anything that looked appealing to my eye.

Lush Temple of Truth Bubble Bar was one of the products I ended up ordering from the site.

Although Temple of Truth looked pretty bland, with it's white color, it had a cute tear drop shape that I though was neat, so without hesitation I added the bubble bar into my online virtual shopping cart.

The bubble bar is Lushes standard 6.3 ounce bubble bar, and came to $5.85, which is pretty decent compared to the other bubble bars that I think are still way too overpriced!

Temple of Truth though arrived looking slightly the same, but slightly different. My Temple of Truth Bubble Bar was not really the shape that is shown on the site. Mine in fact came looking like a giant white beat Hershey Kiss.

I peeled off the clear wrap and inhaled the scent that the bubble bar packed. Unfortunately the scent was really, really bland. So much so that the only fragrance I actually noted was very mild powder. I was hoping that once I added The Temple of Truth Bubble Bar to my bath water, it would ignite some sort of deep hidden fragrance.

My Use:

I ran a bath, and crumbled the bubble bar up under running water. The bubbles greeted me immediately as they all piled on top of one another, which created a nice fluffy cotton blanket of bubbles for me to enjoy.

Unfortunately the scent was still not detected. The mounds of bubbles were fantastic, but the scent still absent.

I got into the bath, and noticed that the water had turned a nice cloudy white color. Like a warm milk bath.

Now according to Lush.com, Temple of Truth is meant to leave skin feeling soft. It is also meant to relax away your sins. (Lush always gets creative with their descriptions)

Unfortunately for me, my Temple of Truth didn't do all that much to my skin at all. The bubbles felt pretty creamy, which Lush nailed when it came to describing the bubble bar. As far as softening my skin though, it was a no go in my temple.

The scent also never made its debut, which was pretty disappointing.

So all in all there was no softer skin, and no scent; there was creamy bubbles, but I can get creamy bubbles by pouring a $1 bottle of shampoo under running water, so I was pretty angry at the results I got with The Temple of Truth.

Overall this bubble bar is bland. It does nothing but add bubbles to the surface of the water, and it adds a white murky coloring to the water.

I have gotten much, much better results using other Lush Bubble Bars. The Temple of Truth unfortunately was not one of them.
