Milani RUNWAY EYES Wet and Dry Eye Color: Leaf Green

My cousin was actually the one to convince me that I needed Milani Runway Eyes. I hesitated at first because from past experiences with Milani Cosmetics, it had been nothing but horrors.

She however would make for an awesome sales representative, because she had me convinced that Milani RUNWAY EYES Wet and Dry Eye Color Leaf Green, was a must have eye shadow. I agreed somewhat, simply because I had never used green coloring for my eyes before.

I checked out, heading home with Milani RUNWAY EYES Wet and Dry Eye Color Leaf Green and Shamrock. She told me I should buy them both because they would blend in well together, and would make for a cute Spring and Summer color to wear on my lids.

The Color:

Milani RUNWAY EYES Wet and Dry Eye Color Leaf Green is a gorgeous light pale pastel green color, which reminded me of an Easter egg mixed with some lime. The eye shadow also contains small flecks of shimmer that run throughout the entire compact, and not just at the top. I felt that if the eye shadow worked well, the results would be gorgeous, with the light green Leaf Green color as the majority color, and the darker green (Shamrock) as the corner shading.

I at least hope it looked as beautiful as I had envisioned it to look. I had doubts of course because I never have been fond of Milani in general.

The Packaging:

Milani RUNWAY EYES Wet and Dry Eye Color Leaf Green, comes in a clear plastic mini compact. You have your shadow in a circular palette, and a small curved brush with two end tips. One tip is a sponge applicator, and the other tip is a soft bristled brush. I myself prefer using my own professional brushes. I find you get best results using good quality brushes, verse the hunks of plastic junk included in compacts.

My Use:

First and foremost I added some foundation to my eyelids as a base. Color lasts longer, and stays in place when you do this. Next I dragged my eyeshadow brush around the palette of color until I could see the color saturated in the brush.

I then dragged the brush around my eyes, and let the color do the rest.

The result was gorgeous. The vibrant pastel color green covered my entire lid in just a few strokes. I then added Shamrock to the corners for the ultimate spring/summer colored lids. What I loved about Leaf Green though was that it was vibrant, and bold, yet still looked subtle enough to wear everyday to my work office.

For bolder shadowing, you can also add some black eye shadow to the outer lids. When blended with Milani RUNWAY EYES Wet and Dry Eye Color Leaf Green, you get a dark mossy colored green that looks really pretty.

Last:

I was surprised at how long Milani RUNWAY EYES Wet and Dry Eye Color Leaf Green lasted on my lids. I got all day wear without any signs of fading or creases in my lids.

Overall:

Very impressed! I love the low price ($4.00 at CVS), and I love how Milani RUNWAY EYES Wet and Dry Eye Color Leaf Green works just as wonderfully as high priced eye shadows.
