When I was a very young tot I would go over to my Grandmothers house
every Saturday. Upon arriving she always had a box filled with beauty
products on her table. If we didn't walk in to her plucking her
eyebrows, she was applying gobs of facial lotions. I guess the love for
beauty products is genetic, because I followed her footsteps.
I remember her always telling me 'Melissa, if you don't put on
moisturizers, you're face will get all wrinkly, and you will end up
looking like your other Granny', (hehe, Grandma rivalry; But heck
yes she was right! My fathers mother was covered in wrinkles, and there
was no way I wanted skin like that!) 'See my skin Melissa? Wrinkle
free at 55!' (and she was right. Her skin was as flawless as mine at 5
years old. Firm, soft, and looking radiant as always).
Some are quick to blame genetics for their wrinkles, but my Grandma...
perhaps genetics had a part, but I sort of formulated the idea that
facial care played a huge part as well, and I thought to myself then, at
5 years old, that I better start my facial care regime right then and
there.
In my time I have tried tons of products, from lotions to eye creams,
to body exfoliators. I've pretty much tried it all, and when I was given
a small glass tub of Neutrogena Visibly Firm Eye Cream, I sort
of had a felling it wouldn't work well, because most Neutrogena facial
products I've used have always had a tendency to suck!
Inside of this small 0.5 ounce container you can see that the cream
inside is a pale minty colored green thanks to the see through glass
container.
The directions on the small container simply state to rub it all over eye area daily, and to avoid getting it in your eyes.
The promise on the package that Neutrogena Visibly Firm Eye Cream came
in states that using Neutrogena Visibly Firm Eye Cream will improve
skins elasticity and firmness. It has something to do with the active
copper formula which delvers copper deep within skins surface, to
improve the skin. I guess that was why they used a copper colored lid
for the glass container. How clever.
How did it work though is the main question?
Well... hmm...
Gee, I can't say I'm impressed with Neutrogena Visibly Firm Eye Cream
at all. I applied it daily in the morning for about 2 weeks straight,
and saw absolutely nothing different. My eyes looked the same, my skin
looked the same. By week 3 with no results, I finally tossed Neutrogena
Visibly Firm Eye Cream to the curb, and marked her off as another waste
of money.
Overall:
Neutrogena Visibly Firm Eye Cream is a waste of money.
