Redken Quick Dry 18 Instant Finishing Hair Spray Review

I have used tons of different hair sprays in my time. Some do the job well, and others...well, they leave your hair looking stiff, flaky and unnatural.

When I was given a bottle of REDKEN Quick Dry 18, Instant Finishing Spray, I was a little excited I will admit, because REDKEN is a name brand that I have always generally liked, but avoided simply because I find their products to be a little bit too over priced for my blood.

Packaging:

I have actually seen REDKEN Quick Dry 18, Instant Finishing Spray packaged in two different cans. One in a cream colored can, and another a long thin silver can. Whichever can you purchase though, the formula is the same, so there is no need to worry. No matter which can you buy though, REDKEN Quick Dry 18, Instant Finishing Spray is pretty easy to find due to the large 18 that is written in the middle of the can.

The Promise:

According to the bottle using REDKEN Quick Dry 18, Instant Finishing Spray will allow for a fast, firm, no fuss finish, and healthy shine. We shall see about that.

My Use:

Whenever I wake up in the morning, I always look for the fastest and easiest hair style just to get out the door on time for work.

I either part my hair to the side for a more classic business woman look, or I bun it up for an 'I was too lazy to do anything' look. No matter which style I use though, I always need to give my hair a few shots of hair spray to press down any short loose hairs that stick up, and not only that, I want to hold the style for as long as possible.

Before being given a bottle of REDKEN Quick Dry 18, Instant Finishing Spray, I was using hair spray from Bed Head, which I loved. I hoped that REDKEN Quick Dry 18, Instant Finishing Spray could do what my normal spray had done, and hoped maybe it could do the job potentially better.

After styling my hair, I sprayed in a few shots of REDKEN Quick Dry 18, Instant Finishing Spray, and immediately felt the hair spray dry to my hair. I really didn't have much time to push down and small loose pieces of hair, due to the fast drying time. I tried my best, but really it was difficult.

Besides this issue, I felt my hair afterward when I was finished, and I hated the texture of my hair. It felt like old rotting dolls hair; course, dry, and hard. So much for high end name brands huh?

Overall:

Hated it!

REDKEN Quick Dry 18, Instant Finishing Spray makes it to my 'do not ever buy' list. I recommend you do the same...unless you like your hair feeling like crap.
