Review: Fairy Dust Shower Gel by Paris Hilton

Fairy Dust Perfume by Paris Hilton is a really delicious smelling perfume, although the scent has been done before in the form of burning oils, candles, and of course perfume, but it still smells really good. The only downside of the Fairy Dust perfume was that it was short lived. Great scent, no lasting power.

When I was given the gift set it included the perfume and a shower gel. Although the perfume failed to impress me as fast as its last goes, the shower gel is not so bad.

It comes packaged in a standard stand up tube which is a nice sea blue color. It features the same little etched on fairy that the bottle has.

The gel itself smells exactly like the perfume, it contains a big strong windy blow of fresh gardenia and it smells lovely.

In the shower I added a small amount of Fairy Dust Shower Gel to my bath puff and did my usual. The shower gel really foams and lathers quickly without having to apply pressure to my skin. I was impressed, and the floral gardenia fragrance filled the entire room really quickly.

The gel itself has a runny consistency, but it lathers like crazy so it's a winner in my opinion.

Before I squeezed the gel out into my bath puff, I was expecting to see micro glitter in it. When you think of fairy dust, you think of glitter, so I was a bit surprised when it was not added to the gel.
Personally I don't like glitter in my bath gels, but I think that Fairy Dust in general is more geared at younger girls, or teen girls, who would probably have liked glitter being added to it.

Anyhow, out of the shower the floral fragrance was no longer detectable. I personally like gels and soaps that are capable of leaving my skin lightly scented after using them, but Fairy Dust Shower Gel pretty much goes undetected the moment I dried off.

My skin was left feeling clean, but not too moisturized.

Overall:

I liked the scent in the shower, and would have liked the shower gel even more had the scent stuck with me afterward. Unfortunately it does not; therefore this leaves me no other choice but to call Fairy Dust Shower Gel mediocre.

Most shower gels are just that, so it's really not that big a deal. All in all Fairy Dust Shower Gel gets 3 out of 5 stars from me. Minus 2 stars for the lack of scent after drying off.
