When I came across Sweet Desire by Realities I really didn't know
what to expect. The perfume however was priced at $9.99, which was an
error seeing that other bottles of the same size were priced at $19.99. I
felt lucky, as if I had just found a steal!
A perfume for half off?!
Give it to me!
The packaging was a nice dark pink color with lightly drawn flower
heads on it. It suggested that the fragrance would be floral. With the
spring season approaching, and most of my fragrances having darker
winter notes, I figured I could use something a little floral, a little
fruity, a bit girly. I hoped Sweet Desire would deliver just that.
The Bottle:
Now I am still on the fence whether or not I would keep the bottle of Sweet Desire
once the perfume is gone. The bottle itself is a bland miss shaped
square, with pink tint at its lower half. The upper half of the bottle
is clear, but the pink bottom gives it a neat pink to clear fading
effect. It's nice, but I have hundreds of bottles that have the same
type of tint to it.
Sweet Desires bottle also features the same flower head
etchings you find on the package the perfume comes in. It is these bland
flowers that make the entire bottle less appealing to the eye.
The Scent:
Like the bottle's appearance, I am also on the fence when it comes to the scent. Sweet Desire
initially has a warm spicy floral fragrance. However as the scent
settles, a more woodsy scent hits the air and takes over the floral
scent.
The wood fragrance however is not really that pleasant like cedarwood, or pine. Sweet Desire in my opinion gives off a very distinct scent that just about all of you will recognize as freshly sharpened pencils.
The lumber like scent mixes in slightly with a floral note, and
combined the scent is OK, but at the same time it's a little odd.
The Last:
Sweet Desire does have some last to it. It is not the longest
lasting perfume I have ever used, but it definitely lasts long enough as
to where I would consider it a high quality fragrance based off of
that fact alone.
Overall:
When it comes to Sweet Desire, I don't love it, nor do I hate it. I will wear it here and there, but likely I would not buy it again.
