Review: Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey, Perfume for Women

When I was given a small sample bottle of Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey, Perfume for Women I didn't know what to expect. I did though know, that no matter how many times I tried pronouncing Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey, I'd likely never get it right, or say it right, which sort of sucks, because I knew if I liked it, and wanted to go out to a perfume retailer to buy it, I'd look like a stuttering fool asking for it.

Appearance:

I was given a small sampler vile of Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey, but normally the perfume comes in an odd cone shaped frosted bottle. The bottle itself is pretty bland looking, but I have seen worse.

Scent:

I sprayed some of the perfume onto my neck, and my wrists. The first initial note I smelled was cool water, a scent that many fresh/clean perfumes seem to remind me of. I was never a huge fan of Cool Water, so Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey, was not all the impressive to me at first. It smelt like 100 other perfumes I've tried before.

However as Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey began to dry I noticed a sweeter floral scent of honeysuckles and lillies.

All in all the scent is refreshing, clean, and fresh, but at the same time it's a scent that I've smelled before, even with the addition of the sweet honeysuckle fragrance I smelled, and the lillies.

Last:

Overall I was pretty impressed with how long the scent stuck with me. I was able to smell the fresh dewy florals on my shirt for the entire day. On my skin it didn't last quite as long, but it did last relatively longer than most perfumes I have used before, so Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey definitely gets a big gold star in the lasting scent department.

Recommended Wear:

It is said to be a casual wear perfume, however to me it has a light floral tone to it that would be better suited for seasonal spring and early summer wear. It's not a scent I would personally wear everyday because it is far too floral and over powering sweet for my liking.

Overall:

If you like floral fragrances than you will love Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey; it packs a very powerful kick of fragrance that lasts for a really long time.

However if you can't stand the scent of overpowering florals for all too long, than this one is a skip. I personally got sick of smelling flowers on me all day, so it's honestly not one I would wear all that often at all.

Where To Buy:

You can likely pick this one up at any Macy's. I was able to locate it online in the $160.00 price range, but Amazon seems to offer the best prices on the perfume at only $54.99.
