Review: L'Oreal High Intensity Pigments Cream Eye Shadow Paints, Nervy Brown

In the past, I was a fan of Loreal HIP (high intensity pigments) eyeshadow. I have gone back and forth from one brand to another, and HIP sort of got left on the back burner for awhile.

Last night though while browsing my local Target I came across something new from the line; Loreal High Intensity Pigments Cream Eye Shadow Paints.

I grew excited, but at the same rate hesitant because the price was a little steep, and I have never ever been a fan of cream based eyeshadow. Every cream shadow I have ever used either looked greasy, or would end up caking up in my eyelid creases.

L'Oreal though has always been pretty consistent with delivering products that I've always liked. I went for the splurge and bought one in the Nervy Brown color.

Nervy Brown is relatively a semi shiny light colored brown. It's neutral, not too dark and I figured it would be the best color to begin a trial with. If I liked it I'd be back for more. If not, I was packing it back up, and getting my $10.20 back.

Packaging:

What I loved about Loreal High Intensity Pigments Cream Eye Shadow Paint, was the way it is packaged. It comes with a small aluminum tube of cream shadow, a small application brush, and the best thing is the small squared chamber built into the package. In this chamber you are to squeeze a small amount of the shadow into it, which makes for a clean, easy to use palette.

My Use:

I squeezed a very small amount of the cream into the chamber, and dipped the brush into it. The cream itself is semi thick, but not to the point where you can't mix it.

I applied the cream to my eyes, and was surprised at how easily it went on. I was able to blend it into my lid, and manipulate it easily as to where I could round out my eyes and make them look more defined and professional.

I thought I would have issues with the small included shadow brush, but I was pretty impressed at how well it all worked.

The cream slid on easily, and dried very fast. There was no caking, no streaks of darker color brown, no flaws whatsoever.

Hours of having it on, and still it stood in place. I didn't have any yucky lid creasing, nor did my eyes look greasy.

Overall:
I have found a new best friend. I didn't think I would like Loreal High Intensity Pigments Cream Eye Shadow Paints, but I have become a fan over night. I plan on going back for a darker shade so I can blend them together for an even better look.

Recommended?

Highly.

Nervy Brown in particular goes best for girls with green eyes. It makes them pop more. These pigment paints are also great for blending.
