Review: JLo SunKissed Glow Perfume for Women

I have been a fan of the line of JLo Glow fragrances ever since the original JLo Glow hit stores. Following Glow, there have been a few fragrances added to the collection. We've had Miami Glow, Love at First Glow, Glow After Dark, and for the summer of 2009 season, the latest fragrance that has been added is JLo SunKissed Glow!

When I first learned the fragrance I had to have it. I added to my list of 'birthday wishes'. I didn't expect anyone to be able to find it though considering it is rather new.

Low and behold though I was given a nice 1 ounce bottle of it, and I have been in love ever since.

The bottle stays true to the shape of all Glow perfumes. It was inspired by the shape of a woman's body. A long slender neck, with a curvy bell bottom to it.

The bottle itself though has been made only differently in color, and of course the cutesy tie string. The SunKissed Glow bottle has a sunny coloring to it with a glass pink at the top, which fades into yellow; the yellow then fades into a nice lime green color. Tied around the neck is a brown plastic like braid tie with a plastic burnt amber colored sea shell added on.

It gives off a very summery vibe, so I knew to expect something that I would attribute to the summer season.

The scent is very, very similar to Miami Glow; possibly even too similar. It has that high musky flavor to it that makes your mouth water. SunKissed Glow however seems to have a much stronger note of fruits compared to Miami Glow, which was more of an up-kicked delicious fragrance of coconuts, musk, and sweet honey.

SunKissed Glow has notes of pineapple, red grapefruit, cassis sorbet, beach flower, water lily, orange blossom, passion flower, amber, hot sand, cashmere wood and musk added to it.

However to me it still has that coconut musk quality to it, which I already knew and loved from Miami Glow. The most noted fruit though that sticks out for me seems to be amber, musk, orange blossom and red grapefruit.

It's odd, unique, and different. Fruity, yet beachy.

As far as the last goes though I will have to say that it did not impress me as much as Miami Glow. Miami Glow's fragrance managed to stick around for hours, and if sprayed on a coat you could smell it for up to 3 or 4 days still in the fabric.

SunKissed Glow lasts, but not nearly as long as Miami Glow. SunKissed is detectable for around half a day, and the notes pretty much vanish after that.

Overall:

Although the last is not as impressive as some of the other Glow perfumes, it is still a perfume that I am quite happy with. It sticks to the musky scent that fans love from the Glow collection, while adding a new note to spice it up into an entirely different fragrance all its own. I personally though would have liked to see something much different from Miami Glow. The scent is very, very similar. Had I not had an old bottle of Miami Glow on hand to compare it with, I would have said it was the same exact scent. The difference though is there, but its subtle.
