Just 4 days ago I got back from my week long vacation in the Bahama's. I
came back bearing gifts for all, and I was even given a free gift by
nature itself. A tan!
I don't tan too easily, and my legs are nearly impossible to tan, however the Bahamian sun seemed to do the trick.
Sadly though, I have the type of skin where I get a nice tan, and then
4 days later I notice that my tan is peeling, and it fades away into
pale-ville again. It sucks, but it's what my skin does, and I'm sure I'm
not the only one. I loved the tan I got though, and I wanted to keep my
skin tan without exposing it to any harsh wrinkle causing tanning beds.
The day after I got back though I hit up my local target to not only
develop pictures, but to see what type of tanning products they had for
sale. I have used so many tans in cans, and nearly all of them suck,
they either smell, or leave me streaked, or looking like a friggin Oompa
Loompa.
When I came across L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes,
Medium Natural Tan though, it seemed like a product that just might
work. I have never really had any bad experiences with L'Oreal products,
so I figured why not?
L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes, Medium Natural Tan
comes in a cardboard box with a golden color to it. On the box it
clearly states what the product is, what it does, and how to use it. You
honestly though don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.
You will however want to read it anyway, because according to the box
you are to use a towel daily, until you reach the desired level of 'tan'
that you want. After that you can use them once or twice a week to
maintain the look.
Seeing how I was already slightly tan I knew that using just one towel
would likely take my tan up a notch and really make my skin look baked
toast. Yay!
Inside of the box there are only 6 sealed aluminum packets. Each packet contains a tanning towel (duh).
I opened one up and began rubbing it around my face, neck, legs, chest
and arms. There was enough formula saturated into the towelette for me
to use it on my entire body. I was careful to avoid knees and elbows
though, because they tend to collect more color than elsewhere, and if
you are not careful you could end up with dark elbows and knees...and we
all know, thats just not natural!
The tanning towelette covered my skin with a light wet texture that
actually absorbed very fast and it did not leave any foul smell behind,
or greasy texture! Nealy 99% of every self tanning lotion, or cream I
have used has always left behind a nasty smell, or a nasty texture on my
skin. L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes, Medium Natural
Tan left neither, and already I was loving it!
Time:
The box did not mention how long it would take for me to see results,
so I calculated it on my own, and seriously in around an hour I was
already seeing a difference, and it was pretty damn natural looking, and
I liked it. A lot.
Streaking?
None!!!
Most self tanners I have used streak skin in areas, but L'Oreal
Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes, Medium Natural Tan left no
streaks, no unnatural orange tint, or blotches.
I exfoliated my skin pretty well before applying, and I highly
recommend you do the same. Most streaking is caused by human error, and
people tend to blame the product.
The fact of the matter is, if you don't exfoliate well, you will streak. If you rub your face, or sleep after applying the product, you will streak. If you drink something and wipe your upper lip, you will streak.
Get it?
It's really just plain old common sense! After applying L'Oreal Sublime
Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes, Medium Natural Tan, don't touch your
face, don't drink, and don't go to bed.
Overall:
I have been using L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes,
Medium Natural Tan daily now, for around 5 days. I was able to skip a
day, but after skipping a day I noticed that my fake tan was fading.
Yep, after just one day, which was a pretty disappointing discovery.
I recommend you stock up on L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning
Towelettes, Medium Natural Tan and use it daily on your entire body. The
results are very natural, it didn't cause break outs, no smell left
behind on my skin, and it absorbs into skin without leaving behind a
greasy layer.
All in all I'd slap a 4.5 star rating out of 5 on to L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes, Medium Natural Tan.
You can find L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes, Medium
Natural Tan at nearly any super store, or drug store where self tanning
products are sold. I picked mine up for $8.95, which is a bit high for
only 6 towelettes; but hey, they work a hell of a lot better than that
$10.00 lotion garbage.
