Review of Fake Bake Self Tanning Lotion

Every summer I find myself coughing up a whole wad of cash in the quest to finding the perfect self tanning lotion. I have tried just about everything, from low end Walmart buys, and high end exclusive Internet only purchases.

I became hooked on Aqua Tan, but realized that even though it worked wonders, building a deeper and darker tan just was not happening. Although I still consider Aqua Tan my top favorite self tanner due to the ease of application and stunning, I still wanted to keep my options open when it comes to self tanners.

While browsing the Internet for self tanners, I came across a name that was consistent and mostly had nothing but good reviews about it. It was called Fake Bake Self Tanning Lotion, so I decided to look for it for sale, and low and behold I found it for just under $14.00, which is a huge help for me considering I was spending nearly $45.00 a pop on Aqua Tan products.

My Use:

Once Fake Bake arrived, I went to use it immediately. The box came with a pair of gloves fr you to apply it evenly, without it getting on your hands. According to many users of Fake Bake, not using the gloves will result in stained hands, and fingernails.

I followed the included instructions on how to apply Fake Bake, and learned that it would be best to use the tanning lotion on exfoliated skin, that way your finishing results will contain no blotches, or streaks.

The lotion itself is more of a gel in consistency, and it is a deep dark brown color.

As I began to apply the lotion, I noticed a really deep bronze tan sinking in immediately. You do not have to worry about the color looking weird, because after waiting 6 hours, and washing off, most of the bold coloring will wash off. However fear not, it will not wash off everything. Instead it leaves behind a nice golden brown sun kissed color that looks completely natural; just as authentic as a regular tanning session in the sun, minus the harmful UV rays of course.

Results:

Fake Bake did just that, in the shower I could literately see the brown coloring washing off of my skin, and I worried that it washed everything off. Thankfully when I stepped out of the shower, and dried off, I had a nice bronze tan going on. It seemed to wash off of my face a bit more than the rest of my body though, so before bed, I applied another small coating of the lotion onto my face. Once I woke up, I rinsed my face as I usually would, and wallah, my face had a wonderful deep tan going on that matched the rest of my body now, so I was happy.

Another thing I wanted to note was that I thought it would clog my pores and cause breakouts. I am happy to report my skin was flawless in the morning, and never broke out.

Overall:

Fake Bake is a wondrous product. Its a bit messy, but the results are worth the mess.
