Review of La Mer, the Eye Balm Intense

I believe that Garnier was one of the first brands to attach a silver roller ball to their eye serum stick in order to sell their eye repair serum. I mean you attach a toy to something, and people are intrigued. The only difference between Garniers cheap roller ball eye pen, and La Mer's, The Eye Balm Intense, is that Garnier's little tool works rather well, and is priced fairly, while La Mer's The Eye Balm Intense charges you an arm, a leg, and a lung for a balm that did not work as well as a cheap brand, and La Mer's price tag is just about 40% higher in price than what you would pay for another run of the mill eye roller pen.

La Mer advertises this one as a ground breaking secret to ageless eyes.

Perhaps the secret was not dded to mine?

The little wand is tipped in metal, which is cool and will reduce puffiness. We learned all that ages ago though when Garnier released their roller pen, as cooling agents will reduce puffiness and make the eye look less tired. It works well enough, but results are short lived.

Using La Mer's The Eye Balm Intense though, I have to say this is the highest price waste of money you can buy, so do yourself a favor and just skip out on it, and buy cucumbers and slap them on your eyes for the same effect.

La Mer's The Eye Balm Intense has an odd off white color that is rich, thick, and silky feeling. It has a semi weird greenish tint to it as well that looks sort o ugly, but it blends in well enough. However after daily use I did not see any results at all, and the skin around my eye looked exactly the way it did when I began to first use the balm.

I am a huge fan of La Mer, and this one sadly was one of the first products I came across that failed to impress me as thoroughly as this eye balm had.

Overall:

This stuff is very expensive, coming in at $145 for just .5 ounces of balm. Granted it will last a long time, even though you do not get much, you do not need to use much as you will just be focusing on the eye area, however it doesn't do a thing, at least not for me.
