Review of Lush so White Bath Bomb

The past holiday was kind to me, especially considering the fact that there was a bundle of Lush goodies sitting under the Christmas tree. Lush sells some of my all time top favorite bathing products, and when I spotted a bath bomb in my sack of goodies called 'So White', I was excited to give it a try.

Initially the white bath bomb reminded me of the Silent White bath bomb that I had ordered around Christmas time a year ago. So White is a little smaller though, weighing in at just 3.1 ounces. I didn't worry about the smaller size because many of Lush's smaller bombs pack the same powerful punch that the larger bath bombs do.

Appearance:

Well there is not much going on with So White. The bomb is white, with no traces of little Lush extras. A pure white fizz fest was what I was hoping it would deliver.

Scent:

So White had a fruity yet spiced scent to it, which reminded me of apple cider, and a dash of cinnamon. Initially I liked the scent, but many of Lush's bath bombs tend to give off entirely different scents once they are wet. In some cases the scent is powered up, and in other cases, it's dulled down to nearly nothing at all.

My Use:

I ran a bath, got in, and brought So White with me. The bomb once hit water fizzed up crazily. What I liked about it was that it actually floated. Most bombs by Lush sink to the bottom. So White stood floating at the surface of the water, while letting out a white silky foam on the surface of the water.

The scent still smelled like spiced apples, but it sadly weakened. In order to really smell it, I had to lift the bomb to my nose while it fizzed.

The water however began to turn into a moisturizing froth, which was appreciated.

After getting out of the bath, my skin was a lot silkier and softer. There were no traces of the official So White apple scent, which was sort of a deal killer.

Overall:

I like So White, but probably would not buy it. The scent was weak in the water, but it left my skin moisturized and soft. When it comes to Lush though, for me personally, I'm only after long lasting scent.

So White failed to deliver a long lasting scent. It's not a bad bath bomb, but I would have liked the scent to be kicked up a notch. I like smelling like Lush after bathing with their products, but this bomb couldn't deliver.

Due to the fact that my skin felt nicer after getting out of the bath, I have to give this bomb 3 stars out of 5. It would have been a solid 5 star had the scent lasted on my skin after getting out.
