Review of New Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Scrub

Clean and Clear facial scrubs have always been my top picks when it comes to facial scrubs. Not only do their products provide my skin with a deep cleansing, but they have always infused their products with scents that are uplifting, and refreshing. Normally their products provide my skin with a perfect morning pick me up.

When I came across one of their newest facial scrubs called Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Scrub, I did not hesitate to grab a tube and toss it into my cart. For $5.99, I figured it would be a product well worth the money, considering all of their previous products usually left me, and my skin a happy camper.

The Promise:

According to the bottle, Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Scrub, using the scrub would increase the skins, skin cells allowing the skin to absorb more oxygen. Doing so results in healthier, clearer looking skin.
Appearance:

Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Scrub comes in a standard squeeze tube, with 5 ounces of the facial scrub. It is found nestled next to sister Clean & Clear MORNING BURST products.

Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Scrub does not resemble sister products though, and is easy to pin point on shelves, due to its blue coloring added to the bottle. The scrub itself has a clear see through gel like consistency, with blue facial scrubbing beads floating within the gel.

Before I clicked up the cap to give the new product a sniff, I imagined it would have a high mint scent to it, due to its icy like packaging, and micro-bead color.

The Scent:

The scent was not what I had initially imagined. Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Scrub has a very clean spa like scent to it, that does not in any way smell like mint. Normally MORNING BURST products have a refreshing scent, but this particular newbie, smelled like something completely different from the rest of the line. I liked it, but was not completely in love with it.

My Use:

At home, I went ahead to use the facial scrub. I tipped the bottle upside down and squeezed. More formula poured out than expected, so my fair warning to anyone who picks this one up, squeeze gently, or you will end up wasting a lot of the scrub.

Anyhow, in the palms of my hand, I added a bit of water, and rubbed my hands together to get a lather working. Afterward I began scrubbing the facial scrub into my skin. The formula is really gentle, and could be used on sensitive skin without issues. The exfoliating beads are relatively gentle as well.
After scrubbing the formula around my face for awhile, I then rinsed, and patted my face dry. My skin was left feeling really clean, but not quite as refreshed as their orange/citrus blends of MORNING BURST cleansers.

The extreme clean feeling of my skin wore off really fast, which was a disappointment, and just a few minutes after cleaning my face with Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Scrub, my face did not feel very clean anymore, which was another major blow to the product.

Overall:

I continued using Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Scrub for 3 weeks, and noticed that my face was breaking out in areas I normally do not get break outs in. I discontinued use, and the breaks outs have not come back. This leads me to believe that the facial scrub was primarily responsible for the break outs.

I don't recommend this one. For a good scrub pick up one of their older products, they work much better, and leave skin feeling clean for the majority of the day.
