Tonight I accidentally bought a tube of Nexxus Sleek Finish Frizz Taming Silkening Lotion.
Initially I spotted the small tube on the shelf at my local Walmart,
then realized the price was nearing in toward the $10.00 range, and I
meant to put it back, when suddenly the other half came over and
distracted me; that was when I tossed the tube into the cart while
attempting to help him find something he could have found on his own.
At any rate, I can't say I am unhappy with my purchase, even though it
was a little higher than I would have liked to spend in price.
The lotion itself is designed to give your hair a silky frizz free finish, and frizz has been a bit problematic for my hair over the past few weeks. I am not sure if it is weather changes, or the fact that I recently colored my roots in.
The directions state that you can use it in damp hair, or on dry. I would use it this way even without being directed though, as I always tend to need a touch up the following morning on my hair in order to tame frizz that popped up while I slept.
Nexxus Sleek Finish Frizz Taming Silkening Lotion works perfectly on damp hair, and I styled it as I usually would after weaving a bit of the lotion into my hair from root to tips. The scent is simply glorious, but it does not last for too long, so that was a bit of a bummer, because initially it has such a nice clean scent that I really liked. It was different from what I am used to in the Nexxus line. Normally Nexxus smells like a coconut mix, and I like that, but grew away from the line because I seriously got sick of it.
At any rate, on wet hair, my usually thick hair dried frizz free, without a single pop up. On other frizz free promises I have gotten in the past, sporadically frizz would pop up while drying, yet with Nexxus Sleek Finish Frizz Taming Silkening Lotion, that never happened. Not one single ugly little straggler.
Over night, my hair did of course crimp up a bit, so I applied a little more lotion on the problem areas, and wallah, problem solved.
The scent also lasted a lot longer when it was applied to dry hair.
Overall:
This lotion is a winner in my opinion. It did something that I was not expecting, it worked. Not just a little bit, but it worked perfectly.
I do wish the lotion was a little less in price though, as you only have about a month or so worth of lotion in the small tube.
