Review of Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen

About a week ago I bought Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner. I didn't like it as much as the twist up eye pencil, and when I returned to Target hoping to pick up my favorite, once again, they were sold out. I spotted something from the Colorstay collection that I figured I could use till they decided to stock back up.

It's called, Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen.
What was interesting about this one, was that it was not your standard liquid eyeliner that comes in a tube. This one had a felt pen applicator, and was shaped like a large pen. The liquid eyeliner saturates the felt tip applicator allowing for smooth and easy application.

After trying it, I must say I was extremely happy with it. The liquid eyeliner does saturate the felt tip, and applying it to my lids was a piece of cake. I did have trouble with the bottom eye lid, so I used a regular black eyeliner pencil for my bottom lids.

The felt tip pen is a little sharp, so apply it gently. The liner flows slowly from the felt tip, and it dries quickly. Although the tip is slightly sharp, it allows me to make really precise lines at the far corners of my eyes, which I really love. No pencil, or liquid eyeliner was able to give me such precise lines.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen promises up to 16 hours of smudge free wear. A lot of you are probably wondering if that promise rings true.

I usually only keep eyeliner on for up to 9 hours, and with this eyeliner pen, I had no issues whatsoever. For this reviews sake though, I kept the liner on for a full 16 hours, and I can vouch for it. Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen stays on, smudge free for up to 16 hours. I'm sure it would last longer if I needed it to.

The key to prolonging the life of your eyeliner is to not touch your eyes. I've come across a few reviews online stating that the eyeliner did not flow from the felt pen. Odds are that's a bad liner, so if yours does not work, return it and get another one! You will be glad you did.

I used to consistently buy the twist up eyeliner from Revlon, but I have found a new love, and will continue to buy this easy to use Liquid Eye Pen from here on out. Unless I am not able to get this one again, you will not see another eyeliner review from me.

Where to buy:

You can find this eyeliner pen in any local super store. The price will be anywhere from $7.99 to $8.99. It's well worth it.
