Review of T. LeClerc, Brilliant Lip Gloss- Bon Bon

So many lip glosses promises to enhance the volume of your lips, many of them also promise brilliant shine, luscious color, and a heap of other lip luscious promises. Many however fail, and they fail miserably.

When I was given a tube of T. LeClerc, Brilliant Lip Gloss in Bon Bon color, I was excited to give it a whirl. It promised to add volume to my lips, or to add a brilliant shine over my regular lip color. You can wear it alone, or over your regular lip color.

I have been using lipstick from Revlon, and love the matte color, however after I was given the tube of T. LeClerc, Brilliant Lip Gloss, I was happy to be able to add shimmer to my lips, and hey, what girl couldn't use a little volume in the lip area?

After giving the lip gloss a try, I looked it up and found that this stuff cost anywhere from $22.00 to $29.00 a tube!

Wow! I would not spend $10.00 on a tube of lip gloss, yet this one cost double that! So after trying it, I bet many of you are wondering if this gloss is worth it's hefty, hefty price tag. I also bet you are wondering what is so darn special about it.

Well folks, I'm sad to say it, but it is no better than a tube of gloss that you could find at a dollar store. The $22.00 price tag is not justified for what it does.

Instead of continuing to rip this one apart, I figured I may as well tell you why I feel this one is a thumbs down, skip it lip gloss.

I applied my usual brand of lipstick, and then coated it with the T. LeClerc, Brilliant Lip Gloss- Bon Bon. The shiny sheen sparkle of the gloss was recognized immediately, and I even enjoyed the beautiful shimmer rainbow colors that danced in the light, due to the micro-flecks of glitter that was present in the gloss.

It enhanced the color of my lips as well, and the beauty of the color was recognized. It's a bright pink color, with a little bit of a pearl sheen to it.

The texture itself was a bit greasy, but this is usually a feeling that is always present in lip gloss. The thing that bothered me about the gloss though was that it did not last very long. For the price tag, I was expecting this lip gloss to do some spectacular trick, unlike any other gloss.

The volumizing promise was also obsolete. My lips looked the same size as they always do.

After using the gloss on top of my regular lip color, I decided to try it out on its own to see if that would perhaps make a difference.

The results were pretty much the same, only the color was not as brilliant, without my lipstick backing it up. When used alone, it also did not last any longer than it had over my lipstick.

Overall I would recommend you skip out on this one, and buy yourself a much lower priced lip gloss, and I feel it would work just as well.
